Well, they are payment channels, which have a hub/spoke network topology that looks the same as banks. Payment channels require "always on" functionality. There's also liquidity problems with lightning that are worrying. So other than implications of centralization and some security issues, it's quite fast and cheap.

That is not necessarily true. BTC is a very simple application, it only functions as money and its best use case is a storage of value. Now that bitpie has made ebtc, you can literally use it to pay for coffee. It's like putting gold in a bank and using bank notes to transact instead.

The value behind Bitcoin was the fact that it is a trustless ledger without censorship. It was always supposed to be cash. The reason why the story changed beginning last year was because better alternatives became available. Bitcoin looked pretty stupid when it comes to making transactions. So lets let it do nothing! I tried bitpie wallet... Basically I send eos to binance then exchanged it to btc, then transferred the btc to bitpie paying bitcoin miner fee plus wait about 10 minutes to show up on bitpie wallet...next you can swap the btc to ebtc but have to pay another miner fee hehe

I dunno, I only have 7 years experience being a developer in this space, and I have some input into how the ecosystem works. Whether or not the source code was forked from the same github repo doesn't matter, if the codebase matches 99% exactly then any updates to either chain benefits both. That's how open source works. I think ignoring that or writing it off as something completely different is a mistake

There's some key differences. 1) TELOS didn't fork the balances of a specific date, it used the genesis snapshot. 2) TELOS low-level protocol (last I checked) was compatible with EOS low-level protocol 3) This means, TELOS and EOS and XYZ could communicate in the future under an efficient global standard Technically, yes, it's a fork. It forked some source code. But it didn't fork the EOS chain from some point in time. It started from the same balance sheet (genesis) that EOS started from. They have the same origin (genesis).

Another thing to consider is origin. First, a fork. Fork is a broad term. It's source code fork, but also includes the balances and actions of a chain from a point in history. try bloks desktop for ledger compatiblilty also. shows you infinite key paths that can be prorammed to your permissions. Also linking scatter hardware wallet import with bloks web app is awesome. don't forget to enable arbitrary data in your eos app on ledger to sign on dapps through scatter.

If TELOS writes an app or utility or improves EOSIO in some way, it can be pulled back into EOSIO very easily.

Take a look ate the workers proposal, the contract to elect Arbitrators on chain, ratify/amend (to change constitution) or the new Telos Foundation contract with an election system. I hope b1 and the BPs on EOS will consider to take a look and check what it has been done. Its all open source and available for other chains to be used.

Currently we are using at 25% limit.. With Rex it can be used at 100%.. Thats 4x cpu.. And with Rex all the unused reserved stake of cpu can be used.. So that will give cpu extra 20x boost.. Now don't forget about the multi thread... Each thread will increase cpu as a parallel work.. Consider we get 8-16 threads then that's another 8-16x cpu boost... Now do a rough calculation including all.. That will be more than 100x cpu if used effectively... Plus dapps will optimize their own codes in future
