Ive spent 2+ hrs attempting to regain access to my EOS Seed Account, with nothing but blockades in my way. I need some support please. I originally on 10/27 had the Fairy Wallet linked to my Ledger, and now, after having to upgrade Scatter and Fairy et al....Lets See, Scatter sees my key, but I cannot access the balance. Fairy wont connect to node1.eosphere, or the other, or EOS42, which is where I was working back in Oct. Actually maybe node1.eosphere never connected...but EOS42 did. Idk if that all matters, but now Fairy wants me to open a new account blady blady, and I cant get it to recognize the dang Ledger Public Key....I'm fed up and could use a good WTF. But I'm open to someones help instead.

I have my PW, I have my Key, I have the .json backups I've resto'd, I have the Ledger which connects, yet I cannot get the stupid wallet to access the key on the ledger. I cant even find the blasted blockchain explorer to check my public key. Why is this the most difficult thing I've ever had to deal with in crypto, and I've gotten about 25 coins down into my cold storeage and readable, but not EOS, no, the ledger doesnt like the EOS fgs. I say F Fairy, it looks old and stale, and shitty IYAM. Is there no other app to sync with my Ledger?

Think the other way around. If some authority dislikes your contract, it can be taken down on AWS, not so on eosio as long as it behaves as described in the ricardian contract.

The big issue around BPs is the notion of buying votes. Starteos eluded to gifting EOS to anyone who voted for them. This completely corrupts and devalues the system. I am 100% against this and will never vote for starteos until they redeem themselves.

One other thing that does not sit well with me - ICOs on EOS. I accept it because the pros of EOS heavily outweigh the cons. But the fact ethereum ran so many ICOs has left ethereum in a very vulnerable position. I think funding via Airdrops is more risk averse for EOS.

👍 A lot of good points in this article. Vote buying is a slippery slope which could be limited with incentives management. But current exchange handling votes/proxy changes to totally the game theory. Exchange handling of votes/proxy is definitely a great weakness to the security of the chain.

Agree 100%. We need to define "vote buying" and should be able to draw a clear line. Some form of proxy can also be considered to be "vote buying" if the delegationg was exchanged for some sort of benefits.

You can use greymass but most dapps use scatter to login. Why do you think it's junk? Works flawlessly for me.

it happens because when eos isn't congested, you have access to all the extra cpu that nobody is using.. once we get busy, you get throttled back closer to the amount your actual staked eos gets you

you might also want to try and make a transaction and then check your cpu again.. block explorers update your cpu usage after you make a transaction.. so if its been at the same place for 24hr, its probably because the number on a BE is stuck
