Rex isn't gonna address the underlying cpu issue, it will just allow you to deal with it for a cost, so instead of owning your own resources via staking your eos, you'll need to sell them instead and rent resources if you plan on using eos for anything

The amount of time b1 is taking to bring up killer dapps and wallet is creating too much over expectations and hopes in long term believers.... During the time when a new dapp appears and updates every day, b1 took more than 6 months just to deliver a wallet and few dapps.. Maybe they were working on it for more than 1 year... With that huge army of 100+ most efficient devs leaded by the legendary Dan, it will be insulting Dan's efficiency if I expect anything less from him...

It's cause Dan leads B1 dev and he is a core guy and not a "dapp/wallet" guy.

eos account is just your account, a ledger of your tokens and transactions. A wallet is a way for you as owner to interact with that account like send EOS, recieve EOS, vote, etc

100 TPS is the current average on mainnet. Some dApps currently running on EOS are very inefficient and make up to 28 sub-actions per transaction.

Why does Dan say 100 ??

Because real world conditions, in it's current setup, allow for around 75tps-100tps average for "real" transactions. Transactions can be looked at in different ways. Everytime you hit that bet button, the system can process around 5-8 actions for that one transaction. Not including all actions that need to be processed in every contract, around 100tps is average.

I am still unclear on how eos works regarding staking. Anyway we could talk through this to completetion? If I have 100 eos staked to cpu, and do not touch the account, is that cpu being utilized or not? In my mental model, it is staked and awaiting to be accessed instantly at any time with first priority,, but when it is not being utilized, the cpu is split proportionately among active users? Am I conflating staked and unstaked? Unstaked meaning a right to that cpu once you stake..... so lost. Whitepaper says nothing on the topic.

I am starting to think that the steem model where the 21st producer is rotated in makes more sense. Then they only get paid per block produced. This will at the very least prove all standby have nodes ready to take over. I would probably rotate less frequently than steem, perhaps once per hour instead of once per round.

the CPU is a factor of the entire Networks CPU usage. The problem is a lot of people have staked EOS to their CPU and those CPU are saved for them and not being used. REX is coming to help rectify this. As well as other things.

im guessing your cpu is probably regenerated already, but you don't have enough cpu to make a tx to update whatever your looking at thats showing you cpu usage.. 1 eos might not be enough to make a transaction right now
