Yes b1 did the ico to prevent exactly this. If sec pushes this it will truely expose them for what they are, the strongarm that protects wall street. for sure, there are about 200 dapps already and many of those are dice so they should really optimize their contracts to their dapps so it can run more efficiently, this way every eos user can benefit till the platform keeps developing for better optimization

1 Immediate solution is if it was possible to block those dapps by referendum.. All eos holders should vote to block their actions until they don't optimize their codes...

Agree 100%. We need to define "vote buying" and should be able to draw a clear line. Some form of proxy can also be considered to be "vote buying" if the delegationg was exchanged for some sort of benefits.

Not really. EOS is all in on scalability and being easily manageable. Ethereum is all about immutability. This means that both have different functions, I would honestly only consider ETH for the most "serious" ones. Still, while EOS definitely isn't a threat to ETH, if ETH manages to finally get the second layer scalability stuff working... Well then it definitely become a threat to EOS and could eat up its niche.

DAI by MakerDAO is great, for instance. The dexes here have half-decent volumes (not really, but still better than most) When it come to DEXes by the way, the best experience I've got was with the Stellar one. Instant and feeless, but the volumes are just sooo bad...

Yeah, no fees and the fact that it's pretty much instant sure plays a role. But don't forget that it all comes at a price. I honestly wouldn't ever replace my bank account with an EOS wallet, but with DAI on ETH? Sure. That's what I am talking about. In-game items and stuff, on the other hand, could potentially work a lot better on EOS. But the RAM and CPU prices are ruining the party so far. Still, this niche could be stolen by ETH is plasma cash and stuff really develop. When you are able to take the smart contracts off chain and still be safe on ETH I don't see much reason to still use EOS.
