It's not at capacity though, the total number of ms per block is not at capacity, it's not a direct correlation because of how the algorithm works regarding burst capacity, but REX should help. Also changes to producer plugin in 1.6.0-RC1 will give a noticable bump in performance.

But it is at capcity, since CPU is hitting above 25% utliziation, and pushing it to 30% caused too many microforks

Each action on dice is run and stored on blockchain, this makes playing transparent, which is the whole point of using blockchain, yes it's resource intensive, but not poor coding, the only solution to make it less resource intensive as Dan suggested would be to play on a central server where all trust would be handed over off chain, which defeats the entire purpose

it's important to remember why proof of stake worked at all, because stake was literally at stake. dpos was about decentralization to the voter, and voter ability to control diminishes if their fraction of supply grows smaller over time. remember that REX doesn't come out of inflation so it just circulates same money among stake holders, while that entire group's fraction grows smaller from inflation and with it voters power.

Hmmm...I’d enable machines to buy parts on Amazon to self replicate. They would have to build smart contracts that provided value to humans in order to earn money. Then the machines that self replicated the most would be the one that harvested energy efficiently. Similarly to biological evolution. Maybe then they would learn how to effectively harvest extraplanetary resources and colonize the galaxy

Too many digital assets run on Ethereum and are represented by ERC20. That’s the portal from which institutional investors will come in. I don’t think it’s the best chain but I have to go to where the money is

Remember whenever average Joe joins a mining pool on eth then if is actually giving his power to that centralized mining pool to dicide any kind of decision on behalf of that individual miner.. In this case more than 80% hash rates of these mining pools comes from 3 pools and head of those 3 pools mostly located in China can make any fork or changes which benefits their own greed... Now think of this that eos has around 100 BP and here eos token holders decide the future changes by voting for 21 BP... Just in case if government wants then it can cease those big 3 eth mining pools anytime they want and then it will immediately get a 51% attack on that low hashing power... On the other hand eos 100+ BP are located worldwide and can't be stopped by government due to different jurisdiction... Now say who is more decentralized? Before you say about any fud of collusion shit... We are going to get Rex and referendum, that means all the power to decide any changes will go to the token holders...

I think manipulation is a critical problem, but not related to regarding "cetralization". Of course manipulation should not be done, ethically. But even with it still 21 BPs are more decentralized in terms of their block generation share distribution. Also, as I said other block producers are monitoring each other. If one finds any reasonable clue for manipulation, it can make it public to discuss a penalty for that block producer. But for individual miners.. Who cares? Even the block producing share is truely centralized to small number of mining pools, individuals just make a tiny amount of blocks and feel happy that they make a money. How ridiculous

How do you know who is a good block producer? I follow crypto everyday, but all I know about BPs is EOSrio and Greymass because they made wallets, Starteos because they tried to cheat, and Bitfinex.
