Hey to some of the smart EOS people in here (please don't answer if you are a noob lambo chasing idiot) serious question: I just heard ETH cofounder Lubin say that they have 1,100 employees spent over 100million on dev last year and that 1st layer needs to be completely decentralized (while EOS can be 2nd layer). Add in the huge network effect for ETH and should the question be not who will win - but rather how can ETH and EOS work together to form a bulletproof decentralized protocol together?

I think that's up to dApps. They could easily integrate both for different functions. Games using eth for $$ and eos for in game ownership etc. But... As eos proves itself secure over time. We won't need eth for security anyway

Greymass is an EOS wallet. So you need a native EOS keypair for it. Do you have a keypair where the public key starts with `EOS...` and the private key starts with `5...`? If not then you only have an Ethereum key.

For offline wallets you can use Greymass and SimplEOS for online you can use myeostkit and EOSToolkit.io that pairs with Scatter. Scatter has also developed a desktop app that works with eostoolkit.io and myeoskit for offline signing

Block.one the company behind eos.io are not officially involved with these wallets. These wallets are developed from block producers on the Mainnet. It would be nice for them to link to some of these tools though

There seems to be a bug that causes vote decay for users that delegate their votes to a proxy, there is no disadvantage to removing vote decay from accounts that delegate their votes, the vote decay should solely be on the accounts doing the actual voting, so if the proxy keeps voting the power delegated to them should stay the same, even if someone delegates votes to an account they create, they still have to keep voting from that account to maintain power THIS BUG HAS AFFECTED SO MANY VOTES SO FAR

I wouldn’t call that an attack, he paid for his transactions, EOS price therefore going up, and has the privilege to use that cpu. Besides that, constitution doesn’t allow malicious behavior and block producers have the right to drop those transactions if necessary or “charge” less CPU for it.

lol meme. the momo is a description for this transaction and is normally optional. but some services require it. e.g. if you send eos to an exchange account then you should put in the memo your exchange user details so they know which of theirs users to credit with those incoming tokens.

not all transactions use ram, and you can empty ram again when data is no longer needed and get eos back

Next big game is rex.. We all have seen that cpu is greater limitation than ram on eos.. Dapps are getting mass adoption so they will require more cpu.. People playing games and casino requires huge amount of cpu.. So there will be huge demand for rex by dapps.. Rex holders will get good rent as income and it will reduce sell volumes of eos.. account creation ram is non recoverable. at least a minimum will be left for the account to reside forever on the blockchain because accounts can't be deleted. But the idea that an account can be valuable, allows you to sell the account and the ram adds value.

RAM has come down dramatically and is a small upfront cost when getting fee less transactions. CPU and NET has a proposal for leasing which is currently being worked on. There will be problems naturally, the real value here is getting consensus within a community which we are achieving very well IMO. Tell me a community that is this helpful and works in decentralised unison as well as EOS.

The way it works is that he generates his pair. Gives you his PUBLIC key. You create an account with his public key as active and owner and stake a tiny amount cpu and network and 3 - 4 K ram for them.

You can create 2 new key pairs. Save them in a notepad or something. Then go to sign in with your scatter account that you want to use to create new accounts. It should have some eos loaded on it to pay for account creation (approximately 1 eos) then point your chrome browser to https://eostoolkit.io/account/create and enter one public key for OWNER, and the other public key for ACTIVE . Stake 0.1/0.1 and buy 4000 kbs of ram and create the account. Then print off the keypairs for your buddy to keep. He can change the keys anytime he wants by repeatiung the keygen process and changing permissions him/herself.

My thoughts were that if he even owns EOS, it was apparently because he thought that he would get staking rewards, which was never part of the plan until very recently and then only potentially. In other words the guy is clueless, so of course he would "believe in Cardano". 😂

The available CPU fluctuates with overall usage, so if you are borderline you can probably just wait a little while, then stake more if you need to keep transacting.
