Hi Kyle, I am helped recently with your video on how to create EOS account with separate owner and active public key. It's a straight forward process compared to the steps provided by other BPs. I am still wondering if I can increase the security of my genesis EOS account by eosio during mainnet launch by making separate owner and active keypairs. Now they are the same and I don't want to compromise that account's security atm. Any comments?

Bitcoin ETFs I wasn't sure I would go forward with this, but I feel a moral and ethical obligation to. And while this is really going to upset and possibly enrage the close friends I have who work in some of the larger named Investment Banks on Wall Street, I want to share this with everyone I can reach in the crypto space and let the chips fall where they may. Here's the deal: The market has done a great job of convincing everyone the Bitcoin ETFs are the end-all be-all for crypto growth. (They're not. At all.) But they want you to believe this to get the prices down really really low for Wall Street. And everyone seems to be playing right into their propaganda. Realize that Bitcoin ETF's have been applied for and denied going back the last 5 years. With our recent run testing a $1 Trillion crypto market cap, Wall Street woke up and realized holy hell there is actually a ton of money to be made in this space and it has barely begun. But they missed the boat! So they want in, cheap; Convince everyone these ETF proposals are paramount for the market to ever go up again. (What a joke!). Realize the most likely scenario is these Bitcoin ETFs will not be approved at all this year until early or late next year; all the while using each delay and denial to further drive down the price of BTC. We can stop this if we stop giving credence to their propaganda that is the importance of the ETFs. Clearly the ETF Proposals are clouding the crypto space to the point it is absurd and ridiculous -- you see it, I see it, and yet we are all playing into it and spreading their manipulative message. Entirely too much focus is being placed on the ETFs. What everyone needs to be focused on is the technology and adoption. Stay focused on the technology and adoption of crypto, it's what got the market to nearly $1 Trillion already, and let's all let the ETFs do whatever they're going to do. If we can get everyone on the same page here (and if we work together we can) Bitcoin will brush off the ETF bull shiitake and the crypto market will continue to grow massively with the awesome developments in the crypto space. Do not give Wall Street the pleasure of seeing you Tweet, Post, YouTube, etc anything having to do with the ETFs. Just stop. Let's bring it to a full stop my crypto friends. Will you do your part to help the crypto community get back on track with focusing on what really matters -- the technology and adoption. Here's the deal: The market has done a great job of convincing everyone the Bitcoin ETFs are the end-all be-all for crypto growth. (They're not. At all.) But they want you to believe this to get the prices down really really low for Wall Street. And everyone seems to be playing right into their propaganda. Realize that Bitcoin ETF's have been applied for and denied going back the last 5 years. With our recent run testing a $1 Trillion crypto market cap, Wall Street woke up and realized holy hell there is actually a ton of money to be made in this space and it has barely begun. But they missed the boat! So they want in, cheap; Convince everyone these ETF proposals are paramount for the market to ever go up again. (What a joke!). Realize the most likely scenario is these Bitcoin ETFs will not be approved at all this year until early or late next year; all the while using each delay and denial to further drive down the price of BTC. We can stop this if we stop giving credence to their propaganda that is the importance of the ETFs. Clearly the ETF Proposals are clouding the crypto space to the point it is absurd and ridiculous -- you see it, I see it, and yet we are all playing into it and spreading their manipulative message. Entirely too much focus is being placed on the ETFs. What everyone needs to be focused on is the technology and adoption. Stay focused on the technology and adoption of crypto, it's what got the market to nearly $1 Trillion already, and let's all let the ETFs do whatever they're going to do. If we can get everyone on the same page here (and if we work together we can) Bitcoin will brush off the ETF bull shiitake and the crypto market will continue to grow massively with the awesome developments in the crypto space. Do not give Wall Street the pleasure of seeing you Tweet, Post, YouTube, etc anything having to do with the ETFs. Just stop. Let's bring it to a full stop my crypto friends. Will you do your part to help the crypto community get back on track with focusing on what really matters -- the technology and adoption. Delegating in eos normally lets you keep 100% ownership, that is the point of it. You can let someone else use your resources but you keep owning them. You either stake for yourself or delegate stake to someone else. If you do the latter then there is a "transfer" OPTION where you can change ownership of the tokens, but typically you dont want that.

If you are staking to your own account, then you are the delegatee and there is nothing to worry about.. if you are staking to someone elses account, then you have the option to either stake to their account and keep ownership of your eos (the eos will never leave your account, and you can unstake them from their account) , or you can stake to their account and transfer the EOS, giving it to them completely

The WPF is a honey pot that risks to attract organizations to drain funds from it. Shell companies, BPs creating their own companies sold to the public as PMOs, projects delegating to other shady companies, PMO cartels... there are many ways to get around with transparency checks. I don’t want EOS to become an oil shell they can drain from. What’s more this WPS will create nothing else than a complex structures we always wanted to get rid off. Our goal is simplicity and distribution and not centralizing things in hands of few. Any person is potentially corruptible. I’m for scrapping the WPF. I don’t know the specific purpose of creating such a fund but I doubt it was created to fund private dapps. EOS is not an organization. It’s just a software. Lowering inflation to 1% won’t help neither as it doesn’t eliminates the above problems. I proposed earlier to create a fund out of REX rewards collected by top 21 BPs. Whoever gets to be a top 21 BP, will need to stake a certain % of their claim rewards and destinate the REX rewards to the developers fund. This way whoever gets to be a top 21 BP will create a real value instead of just getting the rewards. This fund IMO would be destinated exclusively for platform development and not for private DApps or arbitration or anything else. Developers would make proposals for improvements and they would need to be accepted first (by BPs and potentially also by standby BPs) and only when the work is finished the developer would be rewarded. This way we attract new talent to EOS and we help the ecosystem to grow faster. This fund coming from REX rewards won’t be subject to influence of any single person or organization thus eliminating the risk of corruption.

How is a specific bp voted out?

token holders switch their vote for a "working" block producer. You can change your vote every 3 minutes. It's just hard disseminating this information. What the network could maybe use is a system wide alarm to notify voters of any BP's that are unresponsive so only those token holders supporting that BP get the message and they can decide to change their vote right then and there.

That would be very costly my friend and I haven’t seen someone produce human dna or iris samples, and if in fact someone was able to do it then Apple wouldn’t have added biometrics on the iPhone

I don't see how weights solve this problem, exacerbate it yes, I think a many to one voting relationship enforced with biometrics is a step in the right direction, could go even further and tie in the registered device and maybe have a min of 100 staked 100 eos, something needs to be done with voting, as it stands now whale cartels have it to easy and will eventually control the entire chain

Can someone explain to me the "arbitrator problem" and general governance of the EOS network?

When EOS first launched there were no tools in place. Due to this constitution wasn’t (still isn’t) voted on on so BP and arbitrators just decided to go by unratified constitution. Next thing you know people were filing claims and arbitrators if approved would send out to BPs to get unanimous approval to go ahead and freeze accounts, etc. The problem was that there were no tools in place to send this arbitration orders “on-chain” to the BPs, so when the BPs were receiving arbitration orders they didn’t know if they were real or fake and whether or not to act. At the same time all the ethereum and bitcoin maximalist were freaking out and going around with their pitchforks and burning torches demanding “code is law.” So finally everyone took a step back and some informal protocols and tools were developed to deliver arbitration orders on-chain. Around this time Dan came out with a blog post explaining that the job of the arbitrators (ECAF) was to only make rulings on intent of the code. At the moment I still don’t think anything is formalized but everyone is doing their best and community referendum voting tools are almost in place.

Very nice write up. I’m actually in your camp on this subject. I don’t think we need ALL the current funds, but we do need SOME funds to work on immediate system critical issues. Then, a portion of these funds should support Dapp development and user engagement. After all, this is the ultimate goal - i.e. mass adoption. We need great Dapps for mass adoption.
