June 23rd on reddit they posted about a hardware wallet for EOS but no mention of voting on hardware. I thought wallet was to come out on iPhone than android. Which is reverse of what I'd expect. Ut my source is a reddit article.

The hardware wallet simply signs transactions. You can use it with Scatter Desktop along with something like myeoskit or eostoolkit to vote for producers and sign using the hardware wallet.

It should be something like 1.4 EOS, you can try it but probably with Binance you'll get an "invalid tag" error

Around 1 EOS. 0.12 EOS per 1 kb right now, you need at least 4kb, i'd get 8kb.

What are CPU STAKE and NET STAKE ?

Staking is for using the network, i.e. sending transactions. Those could be sending tokens or using dapps like a decentralized twitter or facebook or playing a blockchain based game. It also used for voting. Only staked tokens count towards your voting power. Because unstaking the tokens takes 72 hours to complete it can also be used as a security measure. If you have two different keypairs on your eos account and your active key ever gets stolen and you notice your coins get unstaked then you can quickly change the active key using your owner key (which you should keep offline if possible) and lock the thiefs out and then undo their unstaking again. https://www.cypherglass.com/help

Developers were promised the WPS. Burning those funds is breaking the promise that developers were issued when they started learning EOS and working on projects months ago.

Developers were promised the WPS. Burning the entire fund is breaking the promise that developers were issued when they started learning EOS and working on projects months ago. We can't expect it to be corrected afterwards when there's no incentive on the line.

I'm not a fan of getting rid of work fund either. I think there is a compromise to be met. Safeguards need to be put in place to prevent abuse and we should consider burning excess at intervals IMO. When major opportunities present themselves we will be kicking ourselves if we can't capitalize as a community for getting rid of it.

Yes agreed. We should have a discussion to at least find some middleground here to address the concerns for abuse. But there are clearly projects out there that most of the community can agree will bring more prosperity to the whole ecoyostem. Maybe only part of it can be burned or the remainder locked up until more research has been done. We all really don't benefit that much from them simply being burned and "distributed".

We need to cap and limit off the fund into the WPS prototypes and gradually release it to see where it chokes and is gamed. It's going to be a very long and hard road forward, but it's eventually worth it. If we find a way to do it right, imagine the possibilities of being able to fund new apps and tools with the system users are building for itself.

Why wouldn't the block producers be expected to create and fund new projects, tools, and Dapps? I think when left to it's own device the cream will rise to the top, and there will be some amazing BP's actively producing and contributing to the EOS ecosystem. Putting large amounts of funds in a pool might as well have a "Free Money" sign on it. I say if there was extra funds to be had for projects, we could extend funding to lower level block producers to give them a chance to compete with the eventual stacked monopoly of BP's we will eventually have once they get too big and have too much influence to ever get knocked down. I also agree that the Airdrops should only go to the voters, and votes degrade and BP's need to be re-voted in periodically.

There is also the question of how much exactly should a BP manage. Really in theory they just need to produce blocks in a reliable manner. And adhere to any governance rules. Agreed that 4% seems to much. But we should definitely be discussing anything between 0.5% and 2% instead of burning it all and letting only BPs manage it with their funds + outside funds.

Not anytime soon, probably. There is workgroup on it, the EOS Alliance wants to tackle it. It'll be a long process. But the 4% is frozen now, I think it's safe to assume most of it will be burnt eventually.

I recall Dan saying that Bitcoin could be put in the EOS blockchain and scale indefinitely, operate at thousands of transactions per second, and with no transaction fees. I am pretty sure I read him writing that somewhere. Probably in here.

There is a difference, when you use a dapp, the dapp developers will do the hard work and make the user experience as easy and convenient as possible. When you are an investor in the eos coin, then there is no one to do that hard work for you. Although I do agree that account creation should be made as simple as possible... without compromising security of course.
