I would imagine it's just a % of the profits in the pool over the times your EOS were in the pool. That way even if CPU and NET were different tokens, or had different rental prices, the profits would be smoothed out across all eos contributions

Problem with this compulsory voting is that it will lead to entrenchment of the 21 top BPs as many passive tokenholders will just vote for the top 21 to bypass the requirement

Someone should use this discussion as the basis for a killer dapp. Just make a proxy voter dapp, parameters are unlimited. Could use the eoswatchdog's, could use 1-21, 22-43, odd only, even only, geographical constructs, etc etc. Just use the dapp to set it and forget it when staking.

It depends how it’s implemented. If you send EOS and get back REX that’s an exchange. If you are able to still prove ownership of your EOS throughout that (eg contract) then yes it’s more a rental contract

REX as a place holder does not relinquish ownership of the underlying asset (EOS) so I would find it hard to call it a disposal... But I agree it would be valuable to have the basic terms included in the REX smart contract (ricardian contract) to remove the temptation from over reach of government tax authorities

The tax rules and leasing rules may be different per country but the general principles of leasing is still the same regardless. You should have evidence that the asset you are leasing is still yours throughout the duration of the loan

$460 Million Bitcoin Long Liquidated on OKEx, But Wasn’t Filled Over the past few days, members of the OKEx community have been following the trials and tribulations of the exchange’s top contract holder. That trader accumulated a $460 million long position on BTCUSD quarterly futures before getting liquidated. Unfortunately, that liquidation did not get filled in the market. That means there’s a $460 million overhang in the weekly settlement. By the end of the week, bitcoin futures traders on OKEx might be forced to relinquish 50% of their profits to cover the loss and the exchange’s reputation might permanently suffer. This is some huge drama and it’s a major story in the community. The story was well-documented by TheSwapMan on Reddit’s /r/BitcoinMarkets forum which you can see at the end of this story. We see bitcoin futures get liquidated all the time. Essentially, it means someone has made a bet on the future price of bitcoin and lost. The memo number is directly linked to a user's account as Ive transacted many times. Thus deposited but then saw after it was under maintenance. I guess its for airdrop updates as there's been at least 11 but not to Binance holders. Surely they will credit that after the maintenance period has ended.

my interpretation is "definitely not" because hodlr's now have an additional mechanism to be rewarded (in addition to any increase in token value)... developers now have an additional avenue to actually use the blockchain without the upfront costs... so while those building on top of EOSio chain don't necessarily need to acquire EOS tokens themselves to use chain, they still have to lease the comparable amount.

Still not clear how it is avoided. Say a lender buy REX with a lot of EOS. Due to the increase of SEOS corresponding to the newly created REX, the SEOS price will drop. Now the lender buy some SEOS with EOS. Then he convert all the REX back to EOS. The amount of SEOS decrease a lot and the price of SEOS goes up a lot. He can now sell the SEOS at a higher price. Where did I go wrong?

To discourage holders of SEOS from holding and never converting or selling, SEOS is inflated at a rate equal to the implied interest rate defined by the current EOS/SEOS price for 30 day rental. As SEOS is inflated the number of SEOS required to delegate 1 EOS will grow. The newly inflated SEOS is added to the Bancor Relay connector and sold into the market. The act of inflating SEOS creates generates an effective interest rate paid to the REX holders which are lending their EOS to the REX. EOS lent to the REX will count as stake for voting purposes.

It's auto-clicker style game. You don't need to battle manually. but just rebirth. You can craft item with materials. And also can buy material or items on user-market. or you can sell your materials and items to market with EOS.

yea eos is definitely a bit more custom work / different to integrate compared to traditional blockchains like the bitcoin and ethereum based ones. binance already completed the integrated, it could have been better, i wonder if they're now improving it. but to me it shows which exchanges dont have the development resources (or prioritities i guess) to properly integrate with eos.
