@daniellarimer At current pricing, bringing our existing product's 200k users to the EOS mainnet would require us to stake $600,000 purely for user accounts - not CPU & net. (4kB per EOS account at $0.70 per kB) x 200k users). Which is way lower than it was, but still high. Any feelings on whether this cost will come down further? It's our barrier to entry.

Consider that the cost is a one time for each user for ALL dapps on eos, and that block.one hinted they will offer free accounts to their social dapp. So you get the users already ready for you for free.

I've been in EOS since a dollar 25 I'm really discouraged with this entire community. Between the ram debacle, the BP issues and questions, the alliance issue, the worker proposal debacle, and whatever else I'm forgetting, not to mention the price drop, this is a surprisingly disorganized project and not the wonderful community that we were promised. I'm not a fudster, just an increasingly more disappointed member of this fledgling community. This stuff is not for the everyday person.

No it's forbidden to sell/buy votes. Voting should be a responsible action where token holder gives their "powers" to BPs that produce value for the community

Anything is possible in eos. The reason we don't do it that way is to prevent corruption through vote buying. It's against the current constitution.

Remember ladies and gentlemen, it took ethereum about 2 full years to get anywhere and 3 years to become dominant in this niche market. EOS is less than 2 months into our mainnet and we are moving very very quickly. I've never seen anything grow so quickly, develop so quickly and adapt to the blockchain governance issues so quickly

Well @Evan_Shepard the ATD,ADD,MEETONE,EON, and EOSpace are all on Binance because they supported the airdrops... what would be the best thing to do? Reduce or burn the Worker Proposals. Any engineer knows excess = waste. Referendum to increase as needed, not it's current state to overprovision when it's not.

Question 1) As we all know, we can transfer some coins from one to another account by using account_names. I get that. But why does it allow me to create 2 accounts with the same name? let's take an example. It's written everywhere to deploy contract, they tell you to create account named : eosio.token (how can I create it) so it doesn't have to be unique to create an account and push it into the blockchain. Then How does money transfer work if accounts could have the same names? how to distinguish one account from another when moving money between them?

no, there are no accounts with the same name on the same network. the think the misunderstanding here is that the smart contract folder is called eosio.token. and an account of the same name holds the EOS token on the mainnet. for your own token you create your own account name. e.g. `therealkarma` is the KARMA account name.

that is just on your local test network (not the mainnet). this is to re-create what happened on the mainnet with the EOS token pretty much.

all i could read is to transfer money to another account from one account we have to use smart contracts. i'm not sure about that but there's no other answer. and by using smart contracts, they say that tokens can be transfered. to send tokens is just calling the transfer action on a certain smart contract. for the eos token that is the eosio.token account name you send the transfer action to. nothing you have to worry about, it's just like a transfer in other cryptos but that's what's going under the hood.

Solved it, thank you, the issue was with EOS New York, changed it in the eostoolkit.io menu. They are working on a feature to switch network when an error occurs. Nevertheless will try the myeoskit.com too :)

Yeah I'm sorry. Just having financial problems and this dip doesn't help psychologically or otherwise. I'm really trying to hold brother really trying to hold on for dear life. Well it would be great if they were balls deep in EOS. I agree Coinbase is support seems to be with ETH and those projects.. But hopefully some of the projects migrate over like the relay systems like 0x, Polymath, Radar, etc and integrate into EOS someday.. With the EOS network speed, scale, and transfer fees it seems logical. Some of these projects have invested a lot time and money but will find limitations or even a wall and need to make a decision.. And it would be great if some other developers created similar projects over on the EOS network.. Time will tell as we are all waiting for quality DAPPS to be created and released.. Right now we got no real DAPP to show for!!!

At least it is a start in the right direction as we need an Android and IOS wallet for EOS that is easy to use, secure, and provide a lot of features similar to Greymass Wallet.. We need all the above and essential for EOS to gain any traction. There is definitely a couple of good projects on Ethereum!! But once you factor in the speed and cost of transactions on Ethereum the projects do not make to much sense in my opinion.. But some of the Eth projects on EOS make a lot more sense to me! 👍
