no staked tokens you can't send. gotta unstake first. takes 3 days to complete. otherwise no problem. when mainnet started pretty much all tokens were staked by default.

If you don’t have scatter set up, there are excellent YouTube vids on how to do that. You attach your profile to the toolkit and then choose the manage account tab, then chose stake, and set it up there

Bitfinex allows token holders to vote for whoever they want. They're not forcing anyone to vote for whales only. They are however offering anonymity through their voting system so its easier for whales to hide their votes. It's incentive to get whales to keep eos on their exchange. I don't like it at all. Anonymous voting shouldn't be an option.

hm, do you know any other blockchain that does that? what is the use case? right now the main idea of the blockchain is to store raw state from users and update logic and not static files like html and javascript is my understanding. once eos storage is released and ipfs is easier to use i could see html/css/javascript apps be fully stored decentralized though.

the way i understand it you only need to do it every week if you want to keep your voting power at 100%. otherwise after week 1 it will be at 99% power. to make sure your account is still active and your last voting choice (your proxy) is still intended.

Unable to remove EOS from Binance for a ridiculously long time. Unable to Exchange EOS on Jaxx. Is it that because it does not cost anything to send EOS and they want the transaction/exchange charges to remain as they are? Previously I had removed EOS from Binance and the fee was very small. (hard to justify a large transaction fee when it costs them zero) It would seem that everyone would transfer their crypto in the form of EOS to minimize charges. ... just trying to rationalize what is going on

yes thats how an airgrab works. it reserved the ram space with 0 tokens and then when its airdrop time the project sends you tokens and doesnt require any ram on their side as you have already reserved the storage space in your account

that's correct. your private key stays local only and encrypted with your password. the website will send a transaction request to your local scatter and then you get a window pop up where you can approve or deny signing that transaction. here's a list of some of the currently supported scatter apps: https://github.com/GetScatter/ScatterApps

developer doesnt need to run the transaction, the users have to. so they can decide to own eos or rent it to use dapps. if developers have more funding they can rent the eos themselves for free if they can afford it.

really hard to say. highly depends. blockchain wise it mainly it costs ram to store the smart contract. depending on the complexity in size it could be between 200kb to 10mb (if fairly complex). right now 1kb is 0.2 eos. so a one time cost of 40 and 2,000 eos? and keep in mind if the smart contract ever gets removed which in theory is possible depending on how its intended to be used the ram would free up again and you can sell all that ram again.

ram you dont "stake" you buy. so if you buy ram with eos the eos is gone. if you sell ram for eos, the ram is gone forever (that's why you can only sell empty ram).

I'm concerned about this one about Infinito wallets

Well that was my post as I did get an EOS account with the first release. The account came with minimal ram and CPU and that was delegated.. they have add mnew features like exporting your private key and I imported into EOS Voter and it worked fine. I bought some more RAM and sent a couple of tokens to make it functional and it worked.. It's one of the only Android EOS wallets and you get set it up to use your Finger Print Scanner on your phone.. I think it's a go to use it as a second account and you can access your account which could be handy..

message per say requires zero ram. its up to the smart contract if it wants to store the data it receives in ram or not. if yes its conveniently and super fast available from smart contract and any website. but if not, its still available just not from within smart contract and websites have to do extra work to extract the data.

An ICO is an Initial Coin Offering or Initial Communiste Offering. People sell tokens to raise funds for a projet And investors that wish to participate in that project can send them cryptocurrencies for those tokens. However one has to evaluate the quality of the projects. That takes time.

How is unstaking working for you? Unstaked NET a week ago and still not returned to Unstaked balance. REFUND BALANCE shows the correct amount and stays there. Eostoolkit also removed refund command so don't know what to do next.

You are right, and I normally try to keep my communications technical, as I am not very tactful. I have no quarrel with Dan or with Block One. They have done an excellent job of creating this wonderful new software which we are now using to run the EOS Mainnet, and which will be running the ONO Mainnet, eventually. My profile and background on the ONO website is totally accurate. Somewhere in the translation and PR process, some inaccurate statement got into the press release. Some third party used that to make some attack on ONO, using a reaction from Brendan. I have no idea how all that happened, or what are the underlying motives of the parties involved. There seems to be some historical animosity there. Block One as a company has gone through incredible growth, more than $4B revenue in its first year. Its executives are clearly overwhelmed, sitting on a pile of tokens and cash, and not enough time to establish processes and procedures to handle it all, especially given that the regulatory environment around them is filled with uncertainty. Some degree is disfunctionality is to be expected. But, the software is in good shape, is running a global general blockchain well, has higher transaction rates than any other distributed system, and has all the basic tools needed to implement governance. The next step is to use it to implement a tuned chain for the ONO dapp, another first in the blockchain world, a smart contract chain tuned for a specific dapp. How cool is that?!

Sounds like maybe you tried to create new key in scatter. Do you have the private key paired with the public key that EOS authority displays?

When you put in your ETH address into EOS authority, what does it say? Does it say that you registered? Or does it say you tried to register, fallback?

Because there were tokens in MEW until main met was launched and EOS was issued there. erc-20 are all frozen and no longer used.

Because the tokens in your MEW were the EOS erc20 tokens back before mainnet launch. erc20 tokens are ETH blockchain based. Since the launch of the EOS mainnet, those erc20 tokens are now frozen and useless and have now been replaced with the EOS that now exist on th EOS blockchain, which you can see via your SimplEOS wallet.
