Ah, is it, I see, ok. Thats good news overall then. Does worry me a little for mass adoption though, I realise it early days but regular joe is not going to accept this, I have doubled my cpu staking today and that has made no difference. I guess as the network grows and sidechains start up both easing mainnet use and hyperthreading the network further then these sorts of problems should lessen for the little man (I mean, I really am only clicking a few buttons on dex's through scatter, hardly heavyweight network use) and the heavy users will simply have to stake/rent more for their needs.

Think Im getting it. So beacuse EOS is an Enterprise level blockchain then its mostly going to be those hosting their projects that will require their staking to be sufficient to cover their network needs and not the users so much hence the BM Spammer there is riding off the back of blocktwitters cpu to barrage the network rather than using their own. As the overall user base of EOS grows then the overall pool of staked resources grows which while lessening your percentage does actually raise your potential amount of available resources.

Essentially. You have to realize that maybe staking 10 EOS doesn’t get you a bunch of transactions, however unlike other networks...it gets you those transactions for life. Make a few transactions today, then in a few days when your CPU and NET is recovered, you can make more TX without staking more EOS.

If they registered and lost the private key they're pretty screwed unfortunately. If they didnt register then they could use their ETH private key to generate a fallback EOS private key to claim the EOS. In theory the EOS account if left untouched in the next months he can still prove he owned the original ETH account so i would hold on to that and file an issue with https://t.me/EOS911. Maybe at some point there will be a process to help those people.

EDNA appears to be a super cool EOS platform project. Essentially they place your dna on the blockchain tied to your public key. They earn money by pooling certain DNA sequences and sell that particular pool to researchers. Your wallet is notified that an anonymized part of your dna is in a certain pool. as long as you dont share your private key with anyone you have nothing to lose. you know that putting your public key (or eos account) name is public information that anyone can look at. only the private key allows __accesssing__ the account

also please realize that you have to put this into perspective. the price of eos was at $20 for just a few days. it was over $15 for only 2 weeks. you bought in a crazy fomo phase where the price 4x in 3 weeks. this is typically what happens when the price rises that much that quickly, it corrects down.

We have seen the bottom until the next ETF is denied or delayed. Be careful out there. Personally I am planning on getting out before it is the night we’re delayed. I think September has a lot of promise earlier in the month. I don’t feel like enough has changed with the market and its propensity to be manipulated to warrant an ETF approval. Even if the new tools or system is being proposed might be better than those previously denied it is just not there yet. I don’t think it will be the end but I think it will be dark days.

Wow, bloks.io is such a smooth block explorer. So responsive and intuitively easy to use. Whoever built that has a really good eye for user-experience and navigation. Plus it has so much relevant and interesting information at hand that it's *almost* an all-in-one go-to site now, I think. I voted with it earlier - best experience yet. Yes, EOS has attracted the best people it seems. Well, that is a generalisation when looking at some dodgy BPs, but the active ones in the community and working behind the scenes and building tools etc, they're just great. Some things haven't been ideal from launch, but in respect to what BPs are offering to the community, this has been much better than expected, in my opinion.

There is a proxy that votes for only bare metal servers. It's not so important, and most have them on their timelines to get bare metal infrastructure. For now, AWS cloud servers are doing a decent job of it until everyone can make enough money to upgrade. Yup, I couldn't agree more. We need our network as secure as possible without restricting anyones freedom. The bare metal debate is an old one, but it boils down to opportunity cost. Can people afford to become block producers? It's a lot easier if they can start with cloud based servers.

If you have a Ledger wallet and if your key is in it, Do you have access to the mnemonic words? You'll need to use a tool like https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ to generate your ledger's ethereum private key. Be cautious and security aware when you do this (move funds to a new address first and at least go offline to use the tool). We don't endorse that tool. Essentially, you are trying to recreate your ETH Private key from the mnemonic phrases. Once you generate this, please remove the 0x before you put your keys in scatter.
