I’m just curious why monetary incentive is better than the incentive to give to the community. An Example would be Linus to give away his work for free by creating linux and Microsoft monetizing on Windows.

So following on, in summary: just as EOS developers can be percieved as something different from EOS speculators, they can never be separated from each other; a BP can be percieved as something different from a business on the blockchain/dapp, the two cannot be separated from each other. Thus the developer and the speculator should be treated in exactly the same way as each other, and the BP and dapp should also be treated in exactly the same way as each other.

As time passes the hardware cost hence the barrier to entry increases for dApps to become BPs. But we would many alternate chains coming.

Why would a dapp want to become a bp and have that expense when any other dapp could do it? Would it lead to a shirking of responsibility away from being a BP? Maybe there would be an allure of having 1/21st of 'real power' in the system.. as well as bragging rights/ brand recognition etc.

It does give a slightly different perspective if one thinks of BPs as just any other business reliant on the EOS blockchain for their daily bread. For example, I wonder if token holders woud have a different response to the 15/21 implementation of the EUA if it were McDonald's BP, AIG Insurance BP, Exxon BP etc pushing for it.

The only issue I could see with this idea would be if a competing dapp were to turn up. A dapp who is also a top 21 BP with close relationships with other top 21 BPs could conspire to make life difficult for the (new) competing dapp. Just a thought.

I know with bitassets you could redeem at the peg with a short time delay so that kept the peg long term but short term quite a lot of volatility, MKR seemed to be better at keeping in a tighter range

@syed_jafri can you inform me which eos BPs used in their favor the vote decay bug?

There were 4 accounts in total that exploited it. One was admitted as being controlled by a BP. I have asked similar questions, and met with the replies that it doesn’t matter, and isn’t considered a matter worth mentioning. My view is I don’t care who did, I want to know who didn’t, so I can ensure any votes I was allocating were not given to those involved. So far, EOSNY and Michael Yeates from EOS dac ( I think but may be corrected ) have assured me they were neither involved, not know all the parties that did it. Like you, I feel my trust has been compromised. As there is little in the way of transparency for me on the matter, I decided to step back from voting. It wasn’t a decision I took lightly - it’s my protest - I doubt it will be heard. To their credit, both the mentioned BPs spent a considerable time discussing with me - some of it privately which I appreciated - but we were unable to see eye to eye on the issue. Good luck in your search for answers. I fear you will not find what you are looking for

It does not answer this exact questions: Why don’t you and all other BPs that think EUA is the best option, make real effort to promote it between large token holders? Have you contacted whales? Why are they not voting for it? Have you tried asking exchanges to vote for it on behalf of their customers?

Logging in is different then executing an action. It won't work once you try to do something.

I think your and other BPs effort in promoting EUA referendum is not serious. Two of tweets and telegram discussion between insiders is not considered a real effort to increase voter turn out. Also what about another 3 questions you simply ignored?
