I don't understand. If you have a copy of your private keys elsewhere, you can remove and add them from/to scatter as you wish.

It's as @Datajunky says. Make sure your owner key never gets compromised. Your owner key can change your active key to one which hasn't been compromised, then the bad actor loses the ability to do anything further. If they've already sent tokens there's nothing you can do, but unstaking takes 72 hours, so there's plenty of time to react to an unstaking event.

When you use scatter and connect your ledger you can choose to iterate over the address level of the derivation path. To put it simply it's where you choose '0', '1', '2' etc. Each one will give you a different key. This way you can have a different active and owner key.

The wallet won't affect this though. Unless, for example, a wallet dropped to it's users. But this would show that they're gathering rather a lot of information about you if they were capable of doing this.

No fees for transactions is important. Consider the ramifications when it comes to end users who needn't know they're using a blockchain. If there were fees for every action they did, who would pay? Paying a fee for a transaction can be a taxable event too, so it's well worth avoiding when you look at how many transactions occur in eos.

The main point of eos in my mind is that it's being built as a great foundation upon which to build dapps/contacts/other platforms. Daniel Larimer I think said that he's creating it because there are no other systems which can run the stuff he wants to develop. He's going to use it to build upon. It's a high performance solution which happens to be much more decentralised than it's commonly given credit for.

There is a lot of difference. Zil have Pow/bft concensus mechanism while EOS have DPoS, once we have IBC we could millions transactions per second. Zil are working on their own language while EOS majorly works C++ and wasm. Many dApps have started to evolove on EOS which are being used by thousands of users.

Hi guys, I've been holding EOS for maybe 1.5 years and I've not touched them much. Last thing I remember was that I registered them for something happening last year. Must've been around this time of the year last year. Now when I check my EOS value in my ledger it doesn't show them as any value, should be 547.441 * 4.57 = ~2501 dollar value. But it shows nothing. There were 4 accounts in total that exploited it. One was admitted as being controlled by a BP. I have asked similar questions, and met with the replies that it doesn’t matter, and isn’t considered a matter worth mentioning. My view is I don’t care who did, I want to know who didn’t, so I can ensure any votes I was allocating were not given to those involved. So far, EOSNY and Michael Yeates from EOS dac ( I think but may be corrected ) have assured me they were neither involved, not know all the parties that did it. Like you, I feel my trust has been compromised. As there is little in the way of transparency for me on the matter, I decided to step back from voting. It wasn’t a decision I took lightly - it’s my protest - I doubt it will be heard. To their credit, both the mentioned BPs spent a considerable time discussing with me - some of it privately which I appreciated - but we were unable to see eye to eye on the issue. Good luck in your search for answers. I fear you will not find what you are looking for

higher ranked producers haven't pushed out as much quality as cafe has by leaps and bounds. they should be top 21 for bloks.io alone

100% eos cafe deserves the be in the top 21 based off hard work and what that work has produced. Manipulating votes without token holders consent isn't cool, but refreshing votes ain't so bad and again this exploit wasn't hidden, it was put under the spotlight and now it can be patched. I'm happy they found this early and exposed it early. This could have been a HUGE back door for a potential future failure in governance. Baby steps guys. Thank you EOS CAFE
