I am relatively uninformed individual when it comes to crypto (yes weird half-face admin, STILL uninformed months later...) but I'm in various crypto chats on telegram.... This is the only chat that talks mainly about technical issues, how to improve the community, etc., and seems to ignore short term price movements going on elsewhere. This is the chat I come to to remind myself that I know nothing :) Got to be a good sign.

Ok, so you have your eos private key. Have you imported it into a wallet, and if so what happens?

No. I just staked them. I thought I had access to my staked EOS via my Nano bu apparently I do not? I see my EOS and my airdrops to date but cannot unstake them. I was told use eostoolkit on Scatter and it takes 2 seconds. Not working i’ve never used Scatter before. Haven’t tried snything in a few days. Feel ok because my coins are visible and staked, just a pain because I wanted to convert some to fiat to buy something but that opportunity passed. I’ll live. Now I only want to unstake a few to prove that I can do it and see that I have access to them should I want it.

Yes, the choice of immutable/mutable is great. The important thing is users are clearly aware there is a difference, esp when depositing funds into one. Then it's all good. We need tools that make it *plainly* obvious the mutable/immutable state of smart contracts across all wallets. Free market will sort out the rest. Problems could arise only if users are unaware of the state of smart contracts they deal with. It's a communication point more than anything else.

Startups with no capital could pay workers not $ but brownie points based on their sweat, paid at rates of their skill level. Senior devs get 50 tokens per hour, juniors get 30. Should the startup get successful, profits could be issued as a dividend, company can stop issuing tokens as payment and use income instead.

Classic tension from socialism is that 'exploitation' factor, where the chef makes a steak which is sold for $30 and he only gets paid $5. Putting the entire business and it's operations on chain allows people to assess the numbers and the boss to prove the disparity is wanted or not, if it's not, people will be less inclinded to work there and go for a business that offers better numbers.

You're saying that a company wants to make a better governance system to attract staff. That means that the company is focused on governance as a purpose of existence. But really, the purpose of a company is profit generation, to make money. The owners of that company want to keep as much as possible for themselves surrendering only as little as possible to retain talent and keep staff motivated. The disclosure of their earnings means staff are less motivated which is only remedied by giving up more money which goes against the purpose of owning the business. Governance is only used as a means of staff motivation as much as it is cost effective

Google and Microsoft will offer free food and slides in order to get better employees through the door, they also give up profit already by offering them more salaries. They do this because it's getting more competitive, why work for Apple when Google gives me even more benefits.

He's just someone who thinks there's better ways of approaching things rather than the traditional approach we're told too, I think part of the reason people accept crappy deals is that they're too used to the world running with so much friction and overhead, once they learn that new things can happen without the overhead and realistically be adoptable, it will be a new age.

No one. People could drop premade structures (methods/percentages), and people or bots fulfill roles if they want to, change the system from within the parameters, or fork it. Wouldn't even need shares, profits, which be more of an attack vectors than benefit.

Yeah the concern is having a traceable data each step of the way rather than SQUO which can be unreliable and dificult to verify as most of it is collected in Excel sheets in emails from trade associations

The competition is not ethereum..... They are part of the community. The challenge is in building systems to replace existing systems that operate within a user's existing understanding of things. It is always harder to ask the end user to change their habbits.

You didn't stake them, with a genesis account which has never done a transaction all but ten of the eos are staked initially. All you need to do is import into an eos wallet your eos private key which you saved. This is what will give you access to your eos account. Your ledger nano s won't give you access to your eos genesis account. As I explained, it controls keys for your ethereum address which holds the useless frozen erc-20 eos distribution tokens. These are not eos tokens. Your eos tokens are on the eos blockchain in your eos genesis account, which is controlled by the eos private key (beginning with a 5) which you saved. Once you've accessed your genesis account with your private key you can if you wish change your eos account keys so that they are controlled by your ledger nano s.

You'll know it by the euphoric feeling you get every morning looking at the charts. You won't want to sell any, but that's precisiely when you should sell some. Treat yourself then 😁

It's just a lack of education (by no fault of their own, just a faulty education system) mixed with a complete trust in authority. People appeal to authority more than they would their family and friends, who they usually trust implicitly. It's not that the vaccine industry "wants to kill people" no, that's not what they're after at all. It's just money. Profits. That's the bottom line in all corporations. They don't take it personally when they kill thousands of people, they just pay the fines and move on. It's just business to them.
