I'm fine with paying people eos to vote in a trial system, but i would present it as a package deal. More of a "thanks for being awesome, we just happen to be starting a ubi today and here is an extra few tokens for helping launch the system." Not "money is god, you wouldnt be here unless i paid you", kinda thing.. .... it wouldnt even have to take place within the election time frame. It could just be a demonstration of voting tech while setting up an eos account. They vote, and could permanently verify that their vote was counted. By the time next election rolls around, it would ve demand by the roots, not something that needs a massive campaign.

Most of my calculations show that you can purchase a whole building or resort for ~7 years (say 5-10) of time, so the value of the tokens would definitely rise as time goes on, even considering maintenance, repairs etc. One of the value added aspects of this model is by selling the tokens to numerous global backers you have built in a large base of guests or potential guests who would want to use the time - not a huge need for ongoing marketing as each holder would do their own marketing, or use a platform to exchange unused tokens. The initial fund would include most maintenance costs, taxes, and a reserve fund (but there would still be a small check-in/cleaning fee for each use).

I dont have a need for better management of my proof of timeshares, but many would benefit from higher liquidity of realestate "assests", which could help unlock potential innovation while staying more diversified.. Problem is, the current realestate values are protected by that inefficiency, incapable of dumping over night, and "society" prodominately seems to think that (maintaining inefficiency) is an acceptable tool towards progress.

There could be many attempts a d-gov, or anything anyone can imagine, and they could launch using that list of addresses or a mix. In exact proportions held during snapshot or whatever they feel like. If they launch giving people spam mail like porportions they might not attract interest. If they drop interesting tokenomics to people interested in those things, those people have incentive to look into those projects... It is super targeted junkmail for tokenomic junkies.

Well you said you want to use your ledger for eos, so you'd need to use keys from your ledger to do that. If you have eos app version 1.2.0 on your ledger you may want to leave it. Upgrading to 1.2.1 can result in some features not working with some dapps.

Scatter is open source. You can also use a ledger nano s with it if you want, or wouldn't you trust the ledger either? What constitutes a third party anyway? Most people shouldn't be programming a wallet themselves, but should use one programmed by someone else. Perhaps you're saying that you'd only use a wallet if its from the core developers of a blockchain? What if a blockchain doesn't have a core team? In my opinion it's more healthy to have a variety of wallets rather than relying on one. Would you not use mew, metamask, electrum, armory (does that still exist?😳) or anything like that?
