What the EOS token does is it has 'emission'. Unlike Ethereum, EOS will not have any Gas. EOS tokens have emission. Emission is not EOS tokens. What emission permits a person to do is to run an application on EOS. App developers in the future will be able to calculate the quantity of on-going emission needed to fund their smart application on EOS. Then they can either buy emission from other token holders that have extra emission (rental model), or they can buy enough EOS to permanently fund their EOS application indefinitely (asset model). If a contract application on EOS takes 10 tokens to permanently fund, then that developer could perma-fund the contract for themselves and users by simply investing in 10 EOS tokens. This makes EOS free for users, and very convenient for app developers in the future. This issue was answered by Dan on the presentation he gave on EOS

Likely most people will refuse to allow exchanges to vote with the user's tokens. Bitfinex is building an internal voting platform for EOS so their users can see their coins voting power unused or used for voting only with their permission.

What you don't seem to understand is that centralised exchanges which make massive amounts from fees are no different from other profit making businesses in the world. If they take fees and decide to buy/keep eos with those profits it's barely any different from any other business which can obtain eos with it's profits. If you make some profits you may be able to convert them into gold, USD, eos or whatever at current market rates. So essentially you store your profits in whatever form you like. An exchange deciding to keep eos is equivalent to another business deciding to buy eos. Unless in wrong.

The registration process associates an EOS key with the Ethereum address where you are holding your EOS. When the June snapshot occurs, all the EOS Ethereum tokens will be locked. Your EOS key will give you access to an equal number of native EOS coins once the mainnet is launched. This only applies to tokens that are in the registered Ethereum address at the time of the snapshot. If you've moved your EOS tokens from your Ethereum address to an exchange, you will NOT receive (unless the exchange is supporting EOS registration for its users).

You don’t know me or what I’ve done in my life. And you totally misinterpreted what I was saying. My point was that character assassinations of Brock can’t take down EOS. I haven’t really looked into any of the allegations against him so I don’t know if he is innocent or guilty. If he’s innocent then that sucks that people are accusing him of things. If he’s guilty then that still doesn’t impact the project or the investment funds than will come into it.

“However good the technology is”. Do you not realize that most alts have nothing unique about them from a technical perspective? However when I tried to verify the registration using the steps on the website the “string” field remained blank. I think it doesn't really matter what wallet you use as long as the token are at the Ethernet address. Some wallets don't show tokens or don't allow to transfer them. EOS registration is registration of your public ethereum address. EOS has no idea of what wallet you actually are using.

You can’t move or trade them and it would be stupid being able to trade and move erc-20 EOS and the new native EOS

Please, I need a Metamask pro to answer my question. I have been trying to add the eosDAC token to my metamask but when I looked on etherscan to get the contract adress, I found 3 pages 🤔 I think the right one is the thirdone... It seems to me like the 2 first ones are fake. Could it be some kind of phishing attempt? What happens if I add the wrong one?
