I get that the ERC-20 token will be virtually worthless but if I registered my MEW address and I’m part of the snapshot I’m assuming that using my private EOS key I’ll be able to move my coins to an exchange?

Businesses that publish apps on EOS will be able to purchase or lease resources and decide on how to monetize their usage. Instead of being killed with transaction fees for every single smart contract executed they'll be able to estimate the resource levels they'll need and decide on how to create income.

Simple example: a software company could build a QuickBooks competitor on EOS and charge a daily, weekly or monthly fee for the use of their product. They can collect payment in EOS tokens or their own sub token. If over time their revenue exceeds their costs then they profit.

If the circulating supply of tokens lessens as dapps and users stake and lease tokens then the price has to rise.. if you dont need your 1 token you will sell higher than you bought and the train keeps rolling down the tracks.
This also creates an incentive for devs to migrate to EOS sooner than later. Which is good, we want there to be an incentive for devs to give a crap about moving their apps from AWS to EOS.

I’m writing this message to tell you guys about some urgent issues that have been discussed intensely in Chinese communities today.
Due to the EOS.IO constitution, we all know that block.one will not be the one to launch the main net. Chances are there may be multiple parties launching EOS main nets simultaneously. Moreover, there are no official wallet either. With multiple MainNets and third-party wallets, token holders may have problem on MainNet swap and during the process of token registration. Most importantly, it can lead to severe security issues if any single one of the parties intended to do evil things such as embezzling private keys.

Another thing that’s controversial is that almost everyone thought EOS Go is representing EOSIO officially. Recently they called for a nomination of people who should go in the genesis block. I personally am not a fan of the acknowledgements initiative. It distracts and goes a little against the whole point - too early to be putting up a plaque. But it seems to have gathered a fair bit of support with many in the community, surprisingly IMO. I think it'll be missing a lot of eorthy names, but that's how history is written I guess.
