What I mean is that a blockchain should not store private sensitive information such as health care data. So if I build a health care related application I might use blockchain to store the permissions to access health care data that is stored in a regular database

you can also store encrypted data that could be on ipfs or committed hashes of data if you just need proof.

我是YEE的持币者，持仓量散户吧，说下我对yee的简单认识…… 1、因为偏好互联网的缘故，也是真格投资的互联网企业，所以在一次兄弟企业内部联系偶然的机会了解到yee的区块链项目，能确定是yee由真格基金和创新工厂等机构投资的互联网企业。从工商信息上能看到是15年成立的企业，而在18年发行了区块链的yee代币。所以我第一想法是一家传统的互联网企业向区块链转型，想到这也就出现了第一个疑问，会不会是一家靠app马甲混钱的企业。 2、带着这个疑问我又重新关注了yee的投资机构，一半是传统互联网的主流基金（真格，创新工厂等），一半是新起的区块链投资机构（节点，火币，okex等），所以基本能确定yee是一家由传统社交aap向区块链转型的企业，再联想到在一次分享会上，创始人张磊透露了yee为什么没有进行私募，说是因为yee币机构全部包圆了，所以基本能看出新旧主流基金还是很看好张磊以及yee这个项目的。 3、接下来我们再来看看创始人的背景，大家网上都能搜到，基本的逻辑华为-百度安全总经理-yee创始人。打造出了点心移动和百度安全卫士等用户量过亿的应用。所以大概能清楚一个脉络，张磊是有技术的，是实现财务自由的，是有过成功经验的。另联合创始人也就是著有《华为十年》，后在百度担任要职的徐家俊先生，因此基本可以断定yee是具有十分强的研发能力的。以及团队主要成员也都是来自百度安全卫士，在十分注重安全的区块链，可以说这支团队十分的耀眼以及靠谱。 4、接下来我们再说YEE的项目也就是白皮书，大概意思就是以yeecall社交为主体，搭在yee钱包+各种dapp（类似微信小程序）+跨境转账+付费知识及社群运营，明眼人一眼就能看出基本是一个区块链版的微信，或许腾讯自己都没想到，一直在抄别人，现在别人也该来抄他了。 5、项目的野心是有的，下面我们就是能够实现的难易程度了。我下载了Yeecall这个软件，使用了一段时间。以下分几个部分说明明一下。（1）通讯社交：Yeecall已经实现了通讯社交，社群的功能，使用感觉还是很流畅的，且从各方数据调查，基本确定官方宣布的国外3500万注册的用户数，基本属实。（2）YEE钱包：官方称Q2季度打造支持全币种yee钱包，至少要包含所有的主流币种，截止目前已经实现了4种币种，已经实现0到1的突破，所以有理由相信，yee钱包基本做到支持全币种也只是时间问题，并且已经做过两次空头HT和3DB的活动，实际操作感觉yee钱包的优势还是很大的。之前下载过kcash及im钱包，需要回答各种问题及私钥等等，而yee钱包直接搭在在yeecall上，直接使用密码就可操作，十分便捷，可以随时给朋友发数字货币红包（关于钱包我相信原百度安全团队做出来的，安全性还是很棒的）。（3）钱包转账，社群运营：与官方交流得知预计在Q3季度实现钱包转账，付费社群运营等，目前还未实现，但在我看来这点是基于yee钱包和社交通讯的，目前来看，yee钱包和通讯社交都很棒，这两个功能实现起来基本算是顺理成章的事，所以不是很担心。（4）跨境外汇：Q4预计实现跨境外汇，这也是重点和难点了。技术方面应该不是太担心，主要是政策方面，而这个也是目前限制区块链发展的主要阻力，虽说yee母公司注册在新加坡，政策方面我还是比较担心。（5）dapp：2019年Q1季度上线yee自己的主链，这对任何一个区块链公司来说都是巨大的事情。简单点理解就是在yeecall上实现类似微信的小程序app，做到想用就用，不用就删的app应用。技术方面需要着重突破突破再突破，积累积累再积累。 6、说下我对投资yee未来能够实现的收益，毕竟项目再好不能给我们投资人实现收益也就没有意义。从上面的脉络也基本能看出yee的价值所在（1）yee付费社群运营，大v在这平台上需求粉丝支付yee币（2）yee的便捷安全的全币种钱包，作为这么好用的钱包，提币和转账都需要yee币。（3）跨境转账，以yee币作为结算，接触到yee员工说，在印非拉等地，出国打工犹如国内四川到上海打工，很频繁，而打工收到的薪水需要转回给国内的亲人，众所周知跨国汇款的手续费是及其昂贵的。所以这点是强需求，只需要技术及政策能够满足，能有很大的市场（4）搭载各种dapp以yee作为结算，或者有广告商打广告等也都以yee作为结算货币。所以本人对yee币的价值还是很看好的。 7、很多人觉得国内有巨头微信，国外有巨头facebook等企业，yee的成功概率大吗？从目前yeecall的运营情况以及3000万人的注册用户来看。yee并没有直接选择在国内及北美开始，而是选择了在印非、中东、东南亚等地推广，可见张磊的决策还是还是很厉害的。这些地方没有很好的网络条件，并且各大巨头也不愿意进入，也就给了yee的机会。并且对搞通讯技术出身的张磊和徐家俊来说更是强手的地方。 8、现在是否是买入节点：yee代币发行100亿枚，实际预售流通20亿，未进行私募，代币全部被机构购买，价格为0.11元。其余80亿枚通过生态建设，团队，基金合作等方式按季度释放。目前在交易所流通价值是0.1毛钱，观察地址发现，前100名地址持有98%左右的代币数量。乍一看是庄家控盘的币，而细看代币分配，基本能确认。80%的币目前未能释放，预售20亿的币也基本在机构手中，而目前的价格也略低于机构购买的成本，所以基本断定机构不会主动出货砸自己脚。所以币种高度集中也是能够理解的。至于目前是买入点，需凭自己自行分析了。总结：综合以上角度，基本能确定YEE是一家有经验，有牛人，有技术，有资本，并且已经有落地产品的公司，而yee未来的规划和定位也是非常明确及有野心的。在充斥各种空气币泡沫横飞的区块链领域，算是一股清流。个人较为看好，所以也算是重仓了。（以上仅为个人观点，不作为投资意见，各位需谨慎参考）

I just got reminded of my coin safety paranoia. The closer wr get to mainnet the more I wonder if my system is safe - and thereby are my key s safe. So far I don't keep secret keys on a mobile. I'm gonna wait and see if there are a lot if ppl getting burned is not. Then we have wallets that run in browsers. That does not feel so safe either. That same browser has eaten a lot of stuff.

Yea, no digital risk. I suppose the idea with Metamask, Scatter and such wallets is to keep a smaller amount in them. They are of course very practical, the whole point with distributed applications even.

Yes, nit using scatter at all raises the question of why then have EOS. On a day to day basis, with a robber taking my mobile and spying my keys over the shoulder, I don't want to lose more than I would have lost by losing my leather fiat wallet.

Yeah, EOS will have the different levels of permissions e.g. owner, active. So things like buying coffee, you'll do with your active permission account. Then if you're selling a house it can take 7 days to process with deferred transactions. Should you have been hacked and it's not you that hit the sell button you can override it with your owner account.

That's probably because you've not registered your ethereum address properly. Are you entering your ethereum address or your eos public key? When verifying your registration you need to enter your ethereum address. (Please, if others are reading this, don't get confused - make sure you submit your eos public key when you do the actual registration)

Since in C/C++ you have access to every CPU feature a very low level (for example, using assembler), if you put a lot of effort on optimizing in C/C++, you'll get the fastest app. Sometimes a haskell compiler, for certain problems maybe chooses the fastest approach, but this always will be limited to a subset of algorithms. So, in an average, the fastest Haskell code will be a bit slower (maybe 2x) than the C++ approach. But, if you put a 10 minutes of effort creating a C++ program and 10 minutes on a Haskel one, probably the Haskell version would be faster, since you don't need to waste hours on profiling and trying different approaches. Even if you don't use assembly or plain C, C++ should be faster than haskell: A C++ compiler only has to deal with low level optimizations, and it doesn't care about what you are doing.

It will live on because of some of the existing dApps alone. Scaling us a problem, but some day that will be solved. Then ethereum will maybe start to grow again. EOS has possibly just a limited time to establish itself. Looks good with Block One's investments. If EOS gets a proper foothold it can maybe prove itself as the better network. But who knows, Apple was better than Microsoft and lost commercially.

How much bandwidth do you need? If you are just moving your EOS tokens around that is essentially a free transaction, as you own the enough bandwidth. If you create an application with 1 million users, you better buy or lease a lot of tokens, if you want them to transact for free. To further this comment, the target will be moving as the network grows. We will know more regarding how much bandwidth each EOS token is worth in June. Not sure I follow. As utilization of network increases, the need for bandwidth grows, making EOS tokens more sought after and driving up the price, this increases the value of the inflation BPs receive and they can increase the network capacity (if they are doing their job well). Rinse and repeat.

ok guys getting to this EOS off my Binance into a wallet. I have a Jaxx and a Metamask wallet. Freind suggested setting up a Exodus wallet and then using it for the EOS. If you were me is it easy to use one of my existing wallets, or worth creating an Exodus one?

Drops will go to your ETH or EOSIO addresses. The wallet support to interact with the EOSIO platform is coming, but as long as you are registered in a private wallet you will be able to access those in the future, just maybe via a different water at some point.

What’s this about airdrops?

There are several airdrops that are dropping to the EOS snapshot which requires you to have your tokens registered. Everipedia (IQ) and many more are dropping to that list, so you need to register your EOS wallet if you want the airdrops.

Your wallet is not your address, it is just an interface with your address. You will still have the airdrops in your address. Exodus may update their software to show you these airdropped tokens in the future. Again, don’t worry, if you properly register they are safe.

If you don’t control your private keys, there’s no guarantee you will get airdrops. Best to have a Ledger or something similar where you store everything.

Guys I generate offline my EOS private and public keys throughout Nadejde fork kay generator months ago. Is it Nadejde generator safe or i need to do it again? Thanks!

Nobody knows. I read a few people it looks to be a normal fork of the EOS GitHub with minimal changes. So it's probably fine. But I did this as well and will be changing wallets with a new registration from the EOS github itself just in case

Do not use third party software to generate your keys. You can easily generate keys using the official eos.io website https://steemit.com/eos/@cypherglass/how-to-generate-an-eos-private-public-key
