Hi all, I’ve registered my EOS tokens on ETH smart contract (as explained on EOS website). I kept the public and secret keys for the EOS wallet, which to be deposited with EOS coins in the future. My question:What should I do if I’d like to change the EOS wallet, so basically write on the smart contract a different EOS address for the coins to be deposited once it’s distributed. I messaged support@block.one and they said that the exchange should be able to help, but the exchange won't give out my private key. I then went on to ask how block one plans to handle the return of funds (including mine) and was ignored. Can you please help here?

We have only spoken informally with some role players since there is no eos blockchain yet. We are targetting all countries. If there is a computer science department, connectivity, and the political will, we will deploy. Of course bounded by the token price.

definitely don't move them from that registered ETH address, you can keep addinf EOS tokens to the same ETH wallet, no need to regsiter them again as your ETH address is already registered and mapped to the EOS blockchain. All EOS ERC-20 tokens will be frozen after the snapshot day.

the EOS ERC-20 token is just a placeholder on the ETH blockchain which will become obsolete on 1 Jun 2018, that's why you need to register (i.e. map) your EOS tokens on the EOS blokchain. Go here to check and verify that you have registered your EOS coins correctly: eosauthority(.)com. As for EOS/Trezor, I'm not aware of any hardware wallet that will support the EOS coin after launch of the EOS blockchain. So just keep your EOS private key safe, secure and offline until then, and make many backup copies of it (offline as well).

No. First you need to transfer your EOS ERC-20 tokens to your MyEtherWallet ETH address for which you own the private key. Then you register that ETH address as explained earlier.

You cannot get back erc-20 tokens because it's a smart contract. You can get native tokens on June on eosio blockchain(s) which honor the snapshot (which they should). But make sure you register the ethereum address from which you sent the tokens (I hope it's your own address?).

I think that there is a fairly real chance that a significant part of the ERC20 EOS tokens are in unregistered wallets come june. Making real circulation of new EOS tokens much smaller - while the demand will be much larger now that the uncertainty is gone. (Eventually people will figure out how to lay claim on their new EOS tokens - as their ERC EOS tokens are locked in - but I believe this will be enough to have a "limited supply" at a time with "spiking demand"... microenomics 101 teaches what the outcome will be of that...

Well if it's your first time here then that explains why you've never noticed. They are legit, they are a candidate to become a Block Producer, and the admin, "hadrian" backed that up a few messages ago. You can tell they are the admin because it says, "admin" next to their name.

Blockproducers will need to be voted to be able to build on eos. Since the way eos made the ico it was really impossible for big whales to buy huge amount of eos. Not entirely true. The criteria by which airdrops are conducted is up to the groups conducting them. There was an airdrop that automatically dropped their tokens if you had over 100 EOS in your wallet at the time of their snapshot. But not all groups have the same criteria.

It's come to my attention that block.one will be converting Ethereum public keys into EOS public keys for non-registered accounts in the genesis snapshot. I've added a way to convert Ethereum private keys to EOS private keys within @Scatter to help the community be able to claim their tokens even if they have not registered before June.

How does that work? I mean you'd have to generate and hold an EOS private key to make the coins accessible, would you not?

Yeah I followed him for a bit, but I don't anymore. If you listen to him long enough, all you'll own is LTC and silver. Which will do extremely well in the future doubtlessly, but as far as EOS and other higher tech he's out of his league. Listening to Dan himself and only him is very helpful to screen out all the nonsense and fud propounded by people who have no expertise whatsoever technically. I'm sinking 50% of my portfolio in EOS. Smartest decision I have ever made.

Hello, how are all the other EOS fans doing today?? Well, it took me 3 days to finally figure out to register my EOS for the EOSDAC tokes/coins. I'm a NEWB and lots of this Crypto stuff is not crystal clear. My question is, if I have my Trezor, when do I need a private key? I have only imported to MEW, and I don't know when I need my EOS private key? Is it required to put my C/T back on an exchange?? Or to send it back to the bank to withdraw it? Reason I ask is after multiple attempts to register my EOS, I may have lost my private key. I'm not sure when or why I need it?? I also don't know where to check it without endangering my EOS P Key. Thanks for any clarifacation. If I screwed it up, I'll just buy another thousand before June 1st....

Don't forget to make a print screen for your private key and put in word and also copy the key numerique put also in word. So if you needed just copy the key and stick, this way is avoide to type all the numbers. (there is also others way, I believe)
