Car constructors do use their revenue to build more cars. Block.one specifically are not using their revenue from the distribution to pay for development of the eosio software....

Forgive my ignorance. Haven’t read you whole thread, I was under the impression that this was exactly what the token distribution is for amongst other things. Development. Distribution far and wide. VC funding for dapps on an eosio system if one is launched etc

The revenue block.one raise from the distribution contact will be used for the things you mentioned, plus other things. BUT it is not to pay for creation of the actual eosio blockchain software, funding for which was raised independently before the distribution began. So money will be coming back in to creating and sustaining a healthy ecosystem.

oh so hard, making money before even releasing your product

Do you think block.one are receiving too much money through the distribution smart contract? They could have done the distribution by having people send ether to a burn address. But then it wouldn't have been used to create value for the ecosystem. This way, with block.one gaining revenue, it stops that waste and enables people's money to be put to some good use. Don't you think having block.one's team and all that revenue at their disposal will be of benefit to eosio and the community? Better than burning it surely? What model would you suggest instead? Block.one are in this for the long haul and can't, I imagine, know at this point the specifics of how all the revenue will be used. Things are too dynamic.

I'm very impressed with @Randomnobody 's work. There's a channel here @scatter if you want to find out more about all the stuff he's doing. He has so many bases covered and he's doing it all so early, I wouldn't be surprised if his software ends up being very widely adopted.

you'll need a MEW setup with your EOS and a little ETH in it for the contract transaction. Don't send any coins or tokens to the contract. The instructions are pretty clear.

It's the address, not the tokens that are registered. If your address was registered when prior airdrop snapshots were taken then you should eventually get your airdrops

You'll probably find if you look on a block explorer like etherscan.io that the transaction has already competed. Then it's just up to the exchange to credit your account according to their internal workings. I don't know how long this normally takes them.

I’m not sure if it’s already outlined by your proposal because the legal nuances are so thin, but we need to make sure that a BP can’t appear in any way to be running for more BPs spots (using server location or different jurisdiction as a mean for example). I trust you’ll do your best to make it work.

I don't know if I'm wise, but I went all in myself a couple days ago. EOS will be worth thousands of dollars in the future and may become the native currency of the new secure internet, what the internet was supposed to be but wasn't because people didn't understand the pillars of security, economic theory, game theory, human psychology into account. With EOS, we have a beautiful taoist kind of system that is self-healing, self-governing, and self-evolving, all decentralized, all incentives aligned, it is clear to me this is the most incredible innovation the world has ever seen, because of what it will enable. I love Dan Larimer, he is a very great genius and I trust him completely. He is delivering humankind a gift that frees us from the corruption of bad actors. He offers a system that has no leader, because the leadership is distributed.
