Actually its all binance hands and they only announce swap not future airdrops and all other EOS participians oppurtunities. They have your key mate, they can do whatever they want. There is no obligation.

I did. What’s the latest on multiple chains scenario since that writeup is bit old. Is that a very real thing now. So one could lose out on tokens from the right chain. But since binance is not a Bp would it make a difference Also I think another loss would be missing airdrops like everipedia n others which have a snapshot on 2nd

You done what you need to do, swap is not what you can do, after main net of eos operational it will include your public key and amount of eos you have then you will control it with your eos private key, current one (ERC20) in eth chain will be worthless and you dont do anything about them.

Eos causing this dump. u/TraderJoeSmo Disclaimer: My post is mostly speculation, but it is what I am observing. It may not be correct. I believe Eos is dumping all of their coins on Bitfinex. If you look at this dump, ether is leading the way and Bitfinex is leading the charge. Bitfinex was trading $30 lower than any other exchange during todays dump (to a low of $492, other exchanges didn't fall below $510). EOS started transferring their Ether to Bitfinex about 3 weeks ago. They have transferred over 1m ether so far. There is only another 200k ether left in their crowdsale wallet. The date at which they transferred their ether to Bitfinex and when we started crashing line up almost perfectly. You can see the outgoing TX's from the crowdsale wallet here: https://etherscan.io/txsinternal?zero=false&a=0xd0a6e6c54dbc68db5db3a091b171a77407ff7ccf&valid=true . It will, don't let the title make you think that EOS has a problem. 4.2 fixed a ton of problems and everything is set to go for Main Net launch, as there was another group working on a backup boot process the whole time. You gotta love the EOS community! The boot bios process that was developed to launch the chain needs to be patched. If the issue can't be fixed, there is a backup process in place, so no one in the community should worry at all.

binance should support the snapshot so you should be good to go. But, I may be oldschool, but I always recommend keeping your priv keys and register yourself. A lot of airdrops will happen at snapshot time, and binance is not going to give you anything of that

People need to understand how blockchain work actually and what exchanges are doing. Lets say there is 100 million eos on stay binance, binance will give those 100 million eos to their customers account but their wallet will be in genesis block with 100 million tokens. A new project appear based on EOS and they start with genesis block means binance will have 100 million token on that project and not obligated to give single one to their customers. Think about that project another successfull alt coin like one of the erc20 one in ethereum. do the math

because a good amount of projects are going to give you free tokens at the snapshot moment; that is the main reason, but also not leaving too much power in the hand of exchanges is a good reason, IMO
