Im sick of having websites confuse me and everyone else. ENough ofthis preisthood of programmers using overly complex words to describe things. I want to do a pull request for scatterto actualy give instructions on where to actually add an EOS account, without having to dela iwth keypairs, Identioty AND accounts. Do i have to seriously explain to scatter how to simplify things?

I just had a thought that its probably a good idea to break the link to your original ERC20 EOS token wallet by generating a new wallet and transferring your EOS that was allocated to you during the mainnet swap, to this new wallet. This is because if your ERC20 wallet gets compromised, the hacker can potentially discover your EOS public and private keys.

It is not a shortage, far from it. Only a small amount of RAM (64gb) has been released and of that only 1-2% of it is actually been bought and used by developers (it's intended use). The other 80% is being speculated on for price. This has increased price exponentially because RAM uses the Bangor algorithm. Block producers have the capacity to add roughly 2,000GB more RAM. So it is incorrect to say there is a shortage. Just to get you on the right track.

Regarding the ram fee xplorer web site; I hear there will be tradingview integration soon (currently in dev); I just wonder how the charts will look as the RAM supply increases; we may have to have a weighting factor in the graphs to compensate for the increase in supply so as to not skew the results.

I've seen that spam before from the ADA folks/promoters... I believe the EOS team spam filtered them before. Looks like we need a sort of spamassasin setup for EOS transactions that has a known whitelist, blacklist, and also automatic detection/greylist support. BPs; are you working on such a system?

hi adam..i had the same problem only i missed 3 characters of private key, but there is a solution but not right now, i contacted Roger from eosuk and he was told eos is working on a solution that when y have the private/public keys from MEW and y can proove that y had registered yr eos tokens on that MEW address and through that y got yr eos account name and public/private key it would enough to get our privite keys back, so dont wory just patience

You said you registered. Do you understand that registering entailed generating an eos keypair and making a transaction to register your eos public key to your ethereum address? Did you do this? You should've saved your eos private key which you generated.

As much as I believe in EOS, I think we'll all agree this is NOT realistic. It's perfectly fine that a user has to pay to create an account. It avoids fake accounts and spam. And it's ok to pay such price as there's no tx fees. But there's no way developers have such burden. WDYT?

The top 21 are selected as BPs. How do we reach consensus on the BPs, I mean, votes take time to propagate, meaning different nodes have different views of the world. It is a major hurdle, but Dan is dead set on making EOS casino. BPs will just follow Dan's lead for now. Hopefully they add DRAM soon since I've noticed a significant drop in activity in the EOS Dev telegram group

Every person needs an EOS account once. The individual will pay for that not the developer. One account can access hundreds or thousands of dapps without creating new accounts every time.

Grey mass is more secure apparently as your keys are encrypted locally but scatter is also pretty good, all you have to do is insert your private key once. Just make sure you watch the video as you have to double check that the Id matches to EOS.io. You will understand once you watch the video if you choose scatter

You need to get your account name via eosathority I believe and just search your account name on block explorers. If you have airdrops it will show the deposit transactions on your account

Yes people only need 1 account on EOS MainNet to connect to all dApps. But it changes nothing to the problem. If millions or just tens of thousands of new users land on a dApp they want to join and create an EOS account, fees are on the dApp developper. This is a very interesting read from one of the 27 frozen... The EOS software works, the BPs that signed this freeze order that day acted quickly and with great courage to protect token holders, froze accounts, just in time. Because it was them against time and hackers stealing property. Something @daniellarimer is extremely against and most of us here are as well or we wouldn't have been drawn to the Lighthouse we call EOS. The first act that showed the ability of the code and the power of BPs. Yet, it was covered in FUD. We all let the FUD over take our thoughts and let many of the ones that acted heroically get smeared with fear, uncertainty, doubt, and judgements. I ask you, to the ones that joined the criticism, were you one of the 27 ??? Probably not. But @anamnesia was. He went through all the validations of ECAF, reported with EOS 911 and later joined the Valor Genesis Fund, in hopes to getting his property back as soon as possible. Does he throw hate towards ECAF, EOS, or the Top 21 that frozen the accounts?.......NO He expressed gratefulness to not be the few that lost everything. He is happy, they all acted quickly and saved his property. I encourage all the doubters of EOS, of ECAF and of the actions to freeze to read this by him. A different perspective. One of experience of the system in place and one of hope that it will bind its wounds and turn the gears back on ASAP. One that hopes the relationship between ECAF and the Top 21 can be rekindled and one that hopes Sam would come back to the Gov channel. The truth is everyone did their best at that time and because they did 96,335 EOS was saved from being stolen from hackers. Here is the problem. I had 100,000 users signup for airdrops but maybe 2000 were even able to figure out how to use a DApp to get the tokens. Take the number of accounts on the genesis snapshot and divide by 500 and that’s how many actual DApp users you will find on EOS within the next 12 months

I’m not here to self promote. I just want to help EOS out. I’d rather not say for conflict of interest

Steem is the only dapp that has gained main stream adoption out of any block chain projects, and I believe 2.0 on eos will be much better and will be more widely used
