I am no fan of speculators so sure I don't mind the outcme, but the fact remains that BP's implemented an important change with an error that changed the intent. For me, it is more the general issue of competency and what that says more generally moving forward. People say then vote for good BP's but do we know whether this was an error of a certain BP or BPs? (if we do, then my apologies since havent followed this closely).

B1 hasn’t voted yet and according to Brendan Blumer they won’t until voters turnout is so low. The EOS community needs to understand the importance of voting because it seems like people don’t vote because there’s no incentive. A reward for voting wouldn’t be good as people would vote without being informed about who BPs are so it would be easy to let the bad actors in and it would be difficult to remove them. In the current system the only incentive should be the care of the health of the network because your investment is in this network. If you buy a house you don’t leave it and let bad people in but you need to take care of it if not your investment will fall into pieces.

I should not have worded it like I did and I apologize for the confusion. EOS Argentina is not to blame nor is anyone in particular. Nor is this a bad thing. First, there is no policy on RAM in either regproducer or the constitution. It has been stated from launch and before that speculating on RAM is very risky because of the asymmetry of information in the market and that BPs can add RAM in any amount at anytime. EOS Argentina proposed the transaction, 14 other BPs signed it. A variable was set in a way that caused a “catch up” effect that added a week’s worth of RAM at once. Only a week.

There’s no incentive at all. As most voters go into apathy the network is easily left to bad actors and whales that’s why it’s important to vote and if someone can’t do it or wants to ha e a bigger impact then he should delegate this vote to a proxy. I care about this network and I know BPs and their engagement. I’m not affiliated with any of them and will never take an incentive for being a proxy. This is contrary to my values and shouldn’t be accepted on EOS

I still think the focus here is on the wrong thing. As I said, i am no fan of speculation so I don't mind the outcome. What concerns me is that the change was implemented with an error. I am not a 'blame merchant' but if we don't focus on how that happened we won't find ways to improve it - such as better inter-BP communication and procedures.

You’re right. I know blockgenic and was thinking to include them in the next voting. Eos Africa were very involved in the governance process. I don’t know EOS the World enough but will definitely look into them now I got a recommendation. The list I provided may change slightly and I wish that some BPs take some more effort in their engagement in the network rather than just taking the rewards. I don’t have nothing against libertyblock and I’m happy with them created Everipedia and may vote for them in the future. I wish they showed up more or that someone provides me some recent links to them talking about eos

I'll agree with you that it sucks that people lost on it. I don't want that to happen to anybody. I don't like that it's leaving a bad taste in people's mouth in regards to EOS. But I still think it was made pretty transparent. EOSAuthority even have a site to track the status of elected BPs approving the increase. Also, it was always recommended to not speculate in RAM because of the potential increase in RAM.

you could just leave them sitting for a while. but i would potentially double check that your private key is actually valid and not from a fake key generator. so for that i would test either eos-voter, scatter or simpleos at least once

I assume when you say fork, you mean the tokenswap. Your EOS in MEW are now frozen forever and are useless. They have been replaced by EOS on the EOS network. Go to eosauthority.com and search for your ETH puglic key to see your EOS public key and account name. Then you can search on eospark.com , bloks.io , eosflare.io to see your EOS as they exist on the EOS network.
