Possibly. I don't know exactly how it would work. Unless there was some algorithm that was in place where the dapp that needed the resource paid a tax on top that were to be recycled back into the EOS ecosystem.

Either way, I feel like in that scenario, the use of "borrowing" or "renting" the EOS as a resource would not be a consistent operation as it wouldn't be the most efficient way for a dapp to operate. It would be more efficient to purchase their own resources at that rate. I feel the idea of renting EOS as a resource would only happen if the network saw a surge or was under heavy congestion or pressure. Like the rented EOS resource would work as a reserve. Sort of like som electricty companies who charge a lower amount up to a certain amount of kWhs and after that, the price can bump.

Again I think this method would be less cost effective for the dapps if they could just own their own resource. However, if renting the resource were to be cheaper than owning, and there were a small tax that got burned in addition, could make sense.

Depends on how long they need it for and how much rent is. Maybe the need is only for peak load and its easier to set up short term rentals to cover peak load than to buy enough tokens for peak net and CPU periods. If I were a dApp, I'd cover 90% of my peak load expectation and rent tokens any time my dApp spiked above that. If they had large amounts of capital laying around, sure, Theyd buy more. If they were allocating capital elsewhere, renting makes sense.

Exodus still have to implement EOS wallets into their app. The EOS you have on there just now are the EOS Ethereum ERC20 tokens. The EOS ERC20 tokens were only used for the snapshot to verify how many EOS you had. Those tokens are now frozen indefinitely. You can wait until Exodus implements the EOS wallets into their app or you can access your EOS from an EOS wallet with the EOS keys you got from registering. You can get those keys on Exodus through the developer menu. The best thing to do id check airdropsforeos.com for the EOS airdrops or what airdrops are in your wallet and check on coinmarketcap. You should also try and follow the projects on their telegram groups to keep up with the news. There are also some EOS projects being traded on chaince.com as well.

Trozer supported the EOS ERC 20 tokens but still have to implenent the EOS mainnet tokens onto their devices. They are currently working on it as well as Ledger. Block One is also working on a hardware wallet which they hope to release soon.

Can someone explain the benefits of EOS to me please? I'm struggling to understand why it's market cap is so high. I get the TPS is faster than ether, but it doesn't seem to be that amazing. But all jokes aside, one of the goals that EOS aims to achieve is solving the scalability issues that Ethereum has been unable to solve for a very long time. Unlike Ethereum, in which you pay gas as fees, EOS provides a consumer friendly user experience, as users don't pay any fees in using DApps.

So here's the deal. As you probably know, there's chinese eos fork called eosforce. It is based on the 2nd of June's snapshot, so everyone who registered their keys during eos distribution (before June) received eosforce tokens in 1:1 proportion. No guys, be careful, EOSgas is a phishing scheme to steal your ERC20 private keys, if you follow the link for EOSgas KYC, you will be asked to signed a message in a phising site (note it is NOT a legit myetherwallet.com site) where they try to steal your private key. Don't enter your private key there, never!!

If you received an email message asking for KYC for EOSgas airdrop, you will be taken to a website where you are asked to sign a message with your Ethereum wallet private key. That's a phishing website, note that it's not a legit myetherwallet site, if you enter your private key there it will be stolen!

I actually like that idea. But at the same time, article XV seemed like it was a way to free up and recycle un-used resources as opposed to putting them to use. It’s like the difference between a car sitting for too long and having it towed to a tow yard or “borrowing it” for your own use.

Well that’s my point...there could be an ongoing KYC process phishing scheme POSING as EOSgas....OR....it could be EOSgas trying to do the scheme. There’s a difference. And if EOSgas is a legit project, it may be worth figuring out.
