You will never be able to transfer from mew to eos. That is not what the eos key pairs are for. You need to have registered your ethereum address and link it to EOS key pair. Then use the EOS key pair to claim tokens on the EOS mainnet. Since you didn't register like you were suppose to you have to use the fallback method and not every unregistered ethereum address will be able to use fallback method (a small percentage will have lost their tokens depending if they made an outgoing transaction). I register my ETH address so am unfamiliar with fallback process. Just know eosauthority(.)com has a lot of info for people in your situation and has helped many who did not register like they were suppose to.

You are correct and wrong at the same. Why is coinbase huge? Its easy to use. Everyday joe doesnt want to know about limit market stop orders. Wallets and syching. If the space is to be adopted it needs to be very simple. In my opinion. Im ok with things butbthat didntbhapoen overnight
