I’m not getting a lot of feedback so far, so I’m going to try and fly solo on this one... RAM is not fractional reserve - which means you always get what you reserve and no more. With bandwidth you get more if more is available. If the network is operating at full capacity, then you will only get your allotted bandwidth. High performance blockchains need all data to be in RAM in order to meet the transaction speeds required, which ultimately makes it a target for speculators (squatting). To control this, Dawn 4.0 introduces a 1% fee for trading RAM. This 1% trading fee offsets against the BPs allotted 1% inflation so that the people liable for the cost of speculating/squatting on RAM are the ones funding this cost.

For the value of the airdrops, you’ll need to wait until they are traded on exchanges and listed on coinmarketcap, crytocompare etc. as that’s where sites like eostracker are most likely getting their data from for price. Give it time.

This is the reason why we need official wallets or at least recommendations mentioned on site. Right now it is just so easy to herd the crowd to any wallet which might be malicious in nature. EOS crowd is highly suspectible to phishing scams as there is no official info at all

You receive airdrops into your account regardless of what wallet you use. As long as you have full control of the keys and followed any requirements that the airdrops had then you’re good.

Never put your private key anywhere, first create your Active/Owner keys from your private key, then only use your Active key in wallets to interact with the EOS blockchain and always keep your tokens staked. If your Active key gets compromised, you would have 3 days to create a new Active key using your Owner key which should always be kept offline in cold storage. Here’s an example on how to create your Active/Owner keys https://youtu.be/nyyE05qFc78. If you use a Mac, I recommend the following method to generate your EOS keypair: https://steemit.com/eos/@eosnewyork/securely-generating-an-eos-public-private-key-pair-using-official-eos-io-code Use this tool https://eosauthority.com/alerts to keep track of all your EOS account activities via email and/or Telegram. If your EOS tokens get unstaked and you didn't do it, this means that your Active key has been compromised and that you have up to 3 days to create a new one using your Owner key, thus making the previous Active key completely useless, so no one could steal your coins in that case.

Which makes sense, B1 have substantial funding and unparalleled technical knowledge of EOS, so why shouldn’t they build solutions which leverage & demonstrate the power of EOS? Well, B1 also have partnerships with VC firms in order to invest into *independent* App projects from outside of B1. If an independent project approaches the B1/VC partnerships, what is there to stop B1 saying “yes, that really is a great idea. Thanks, we’ll take it from here”. Leaving the independent project without funding and their idea - or something extremely similar - having been adopted by B1. Of course, NDAs and legals but which startup project is going to be able to go up against B1’s multi billion $ ? It feels like a potential conflict of interest. VCs don’t typically have an in-house dev shop around the back. so if a project approached them for funding they’re unlikely to start coding it up after lunch if they liked the sound of it. But B1 (via Dan) have publicly stated they’ll be building DApps - so in this case it’s a very different proposition. I was initially excited about approaching B1/VC with our project but now I’m not so sure. Thoughts?

Use bloks.io with your account name to see which tokens you have in your account. If you had EOSDAC during the snapshot then you should have them in your account. You'll need to use a wallet like Greymass, possibly SimplEOS too but I'm not sure they have that feature integrated into their wallet yet.

Rob would you be able to do a short clip on wallets, I understand cold storage and do it but unsure whether I can if staked! Also will this effect future airdrops if I cold store? I can’t be the only one unsure as to security for a long term hold, but also wanting to be an active member!

Check bloks.io and use the search box with your EOS account name to see which tokens you have in your account. If you had EOSDAC during the snapshot then you should have them in your account. You'll need to use a wallet like Greymass, possibly SimplEOS too but I'm not sure they have that feature integrated into their wallet yet, to move them to an exchange.

The EOS mainnet isn't supported on Trezor yet but once it is you'll still be able to recieve airdrops. You'll be able to recieve airdrops in your account regardless of what wallet you choose. As long as you have full control over the keys and follow any requirements that the airdrop may have then you're good to go.

It's a 3 day time delay for you to be alerted to any movement by scammers if they were able to compromise your keys, and you can use your staked coins to vote for healthy block producers when they're staked. Plus staking gives you access to the resources you need to do things on the network. Consider @eoswatchdogs for your proxy vote

Bitfinex supported the token swap. So those were 'converted' to EOS.

Question: i use eos-voter. I am unable ot see transaction history. When I send some token/coin it doesnt show in the history tab. The txid it gives me lauches eosspark but doesnt show the tx. The tx is successful as it made it to the destination. Has this feature not been implemented in eos-voter yet?
