Overall, EOS is all much hype and hope. 2/3 of BP are shitie non content gimmick. Most are just a plan without working product.

A BP does not have to have content. The job of a block producer is to do just that. Produce blocks and maintain the blockchain. There is no requirement that they have to have any content or dapp.

Earlier today, at approximately 00:00 UTC, Bancor experienced a security breach. We take this incident very seriously. We are committing every resource to resolving it, getting the network back online and tracking down the criminals involved. This compromised wallet was then used to withdraw ETH from the BNT smart contract in the amount of 24,984 ETH (~$12.5M). The same wallet also stole: 229,356,645 NPXS (~$1M) 3,200,000 BNT (~$10M) Once the theft was identified, we were able to freeze the stolen BNT, limiting the damage to the Bancor ecosystem from the theft. The ability to freeze tokens was built into the Bancor Protocol to be used in an extreme situation to recover from a security breach, allowing Bancor to effectively stop the thief from running away with the stolen tokens. It is not possible to freeze the ETH or any other stolen tokens. However, we are now working together with dozens of cryptocurrency exchanges to trace the stolen funds and make it more difficult for the thief to liquidate them. We will continue to post updates as and when appropriate on our Telegram channel and on Twitter. We appreciate your patience as we resolve this matter.

@daniellarimer I’ve been thinking about it a lot... EOS is missing the incentive for the average user to hold and stake their tokens. I think everyone deep down wants to feel like they are able to contribute in some way. The airdrops have been awesome, but post snapshot the newcomers don’t get a sense on being able to add value. I really like your idea of RAM feed being distributed to those who stake. Is there anything else that could be implemented for the average user to contribute? Maybe a way of Running different types of nodes that supplement BP efforts but aren’t as vital, or supporting smaller specialized sidechains, or even reward based tasks. I’m reflecting on some people’s views of EOS and which projects I’ve personally felt most connected to in the past. Even powering up in steemit gives the average user a sense of purpose in what they are doing. By no means am I trying to take away from the already incredible platform EOS has become... just thinking out loud. Thanks Dan

There’s still a lot in dev and more to come with the VC being allocated. Changing the Bancor algo should help the RAM price as well as the method for adding RAM. Everyone recognizes it as a problem and it will be fixed
