It's the cost of ram memory your account data will occupy plus some extra memory you get for future use. You can sell this memory in the future when you no longer need the account.

I have heard that connection will be ready for year end. But the programming is the same. They can start in mainnet and move to a lower realty later. That will happend a lot. Is exactly as opening offices in downtown city and later moving to lower rent space.

I proposed this in an early post, what are your thoughts Just food for thought, If we as a community are supporting the bp’s who are earning some 900 EOS a day worth $10,000 each day. Do you need $10,000 to be a block producer I doubt it. Since the community is supporting those bp’s why not airdrop some of your profit to the EOS holders who have all their tokens stalked.

They do that for profit. Is like saying you dont need x% of your salary , and you should donate it. BUT I agree that they should finance quirks of the system. I think they should chip in on accounts cost (lets say a new account will cost $5 and they pay the difference) and account theft like they pay for insurance on the account so if something happen to your account you get a % back after complying with a smart contract requirements.

I am not saying that any particular bp offer a reward in return to a vote. I’m saying that all bps allocated 5 percent of their earnings to those having all their tokens stalked irrespective of voting hence encouraging stalking as opposed to ram trading or exchange trading and increasing the deflationary pressure.

I believe having the token stalked would decrease the inflationary pressure and curb the pressure on ram trading. You get rewarded for stalking as opposed getting fees for ram trading or leaving it on exchanges.

That would incentivize something that doesn't add any value to the EOS ecosystem. It could possibly help with the RAM price problem, but there are way better proposals for that. Also, you pay fees for trading RAM, you don't receive them

I'm against rewarding staking because it incentivizes the wrong things. If people want to stake their tokens, that's fine, but there's no valid reason to incentivize them to do so. People should be able to do what they want with their EOS, why shouldn't they be able allowed to keep their tokens on an exchange. The burning of tokens causes deflation, as tokens are taken out of circulation.

For example: EOS Store Block Producer proposed a block containing a transaction from a blacklisted account. All other 20 block producers saw that BP EOS Store signed this block, and thus they all accepted this block as one on the chain and started building on top of it

More tokens, less price per token. Less token more price per token. All blockchains have to creat tokens per each block. But only EOS has a deflacionary mechanism to cancel that Constant creation of new tokens.

It looks like you tried to register your eos private key. I'd advise you to never use the keypair which you generated for your attempted registration, because anyone could end up taking your funds.

Because you registered incorrectly, the fallback mechanism generated your eos public key for you. You can generate your eos private key from your ethereum private key, as described in the guide I linked to above. Correct. I'm not sure how quickly it replenishes. A few hours to maybe a day until you can do a transaction. Sounds like you need to stake more EOS to cpu.

You can try 1.5 for cpu and 0.5 for bandwidth. It seems transactions use more cpu than bandwidth.

You will need to wait for your Network usage to go down before you can stake more. You need available CPU and Network to increase your CPU or Network. Kind of a catch 22.

Does anyone know what hydrokinetics is? If not, its basically an egg beater thats underwater that harnesses the baseload (continuous) power from running water. Knocks solar and wind out of the park any day (intermittent power), given there is a river obviously. I have rights to a project involving this hydro tech and want to launch on EOS and raise funds to bring it to developing nations. Staking is for using the network, i.e. sending transactions. Those could be sending tokens or using dapps like a decentralized twitter or facebook or playing a blockchain based game. It also used for voting. Only staked tokens count towards your voting power.

staking only makes the network better if you vote with it and help elect good network managers. other than that it's for your own usage only, the more you stake the more of the resources you are allowed to use every day.

That's your EOS erc20 tokens. Those are frozen and useless now. They have been replaced by EOS on the EOS blockchain. Put in your ETH public key into eosauthority.com and it will give you your EOS public key and EOS account name. Then go to eospark.com and search your account name and you see your EOS as they exist on the EOS blockchain, as well as some airdrops that you may have already received.

I am totally in favor of it . They are doing this on tron. It incentivizes people to stay staked vs speculation on ram . It essentially solves the ram speculation problem and adds value to eos . The price of Eos will increase as ppl become reluctant to sell

It totally adds value to the ecosystem and it solves the problem with ram speculation. Eos hodlers get increased value and price increases vs selfish ram speculators. It works for me. I am all for it.
