If you received an email message asking for KYC for EOSgas airdrop, you will be taken to a website where you are asked to sign a message with your Ethereum wallet private key. That's a phishing website, note that it's not a legit myetherwallet site, if you enter your private key there it will be stolen!

increase is 1kb per block so allows for future demand increase also. rate can be changed.

On the eosgas.io website where it says "Join Airdrop" it does not ask for priv key. However, it does ask that you register and provide your public ETH key. Once that info is submitted, it does not ask for a priv key.

eosGas does feel very odd though. They kinda came out of nowhere. No real foundation for communication. Their twitter has only 6 tweets, no responses, and 31k followers. Which that could be because of the registration for their airdrop. Their telegram channel is just airdrop updates too.

Okay. Most of the recent airdrops are based off of the genesis snapshot. I imagine there will be future airdrops that will be based off of a new snapshot, but it will also depend if Binance will particiipate in those airdrops, and it the project would even want to distribute to Binance. It's always better to hold your assets in your own private wallet anyways.

Correct. You would need to get an EOS account set up. I believe there is a website that charges a fee to do that for you. But most of that cost is going to go towards the resource allocation needed to maintain your new account.

By EOS team, I assume you mean block.one, but block.one did not launch the mainnet nor are the involved in maintaining the blockchain. So they really wouldn't be doing any 'ironing out' .

Probably to maintain circulation? Since it is a resource, if the availability of the resource is continaully dropping over time, the cost to operate dapps will increase. Not very efficient in the long run.

They're in the works of increasing RAM as we speak. 7 of the 21 have approved the decision, with only 15 being needed.

Maybe. Maybe not. It would have been interesting to see after launch at the 3 year mark how many were burned or recycled back in. I imagine there are still a LOT of people who don't understand what to do. Who maybe think their EOS erc20 tokens are still the main coin. Lost their priv keys. Etc. So...if none of them figured it out at launch, then yes, the 3 year mark would have likely been a large amount at once as opposed to small amounts over time.

Hypothetically if there were a large proportion of unstaked eos tokens 'in limbo' with no telling if/when they might become staked, those who have staked for guaranteed resources couldn't be confident in the amount of resources they have access to. Therefore if these limbo tokens were taken out of the equation in the manner you asked about, mightn't the landscape be more stable in the long-run, in terms of availability of guaranteed resources?

Talking about stability, I wasn't imagining the burning being the problem. More the hypothetical example of many tokens which have been inactive, and haven't been burned. If they were staked all of a sudden other people's access to resources could drop suddenly.

This EOS RAM issue has to be addressed. Part of the move to EOS is to move away from the fiat monetary system where the chosen few can create it for themselves, and loan it to the rest of us at interest. Increasing the RAM volume might just result in the fiat Whales buying twice as much, as when one can create fiat currency out of thin air, doubling that amount is not that hard.

Perhaps some temporary transaction restrictions should be tried. For example, apply a temporary volume limit on selling RAM to prevent large dumps, combined with a daily limit on the number of RAM selling transactions an account may make. Perhaps, like the 3 day EOS unstaking delay, a 3 day delay on the execution of a RAM sale, with the delayed pending RAM sales available for viewing on a website. Dan Larimer gave us this incredible platform for freedom. The fiat fuckers are not going to just sit on the sidelines and let it develop. This is not the last attack on the smooth running of EOS that will occur, once an attack is identified, logical fair measures must be tried to deal with them.

Similarly, the Whales with millions of EOS to vote for themselves as Block Producers, perhaps the voting of EOS should be divided. i.e. If an account (say with one million EOS) votes for a Block Producer, perhaps a percentage, say 60% goes to the BC voted for, and some formula is determined to distribute the other 40% to other BCs. And this would apply for all EOS account voting. NOT over controlling centralized measures, but logical reactions to the actions of the fiat fuckers.

I don't think any explorers show that yet. Most of the airdrops are only available on a couple of exchanges and unless the explorer utilizes their API ir won't show, I don't think.

Not yet because they are very new. With time it will happen. Eth was released a few years back and eos just got out the gate. Give them a little more time. A far the community has developed vast amount of tools within 1 month since launch

okay if you didnt register, then you need to use the "registration fallback method" https://eosauthority.com/blog/how_to_generate_your_EOS_fallback_key_from_ethereum_private_key because you use ledger it's a bit more challenging to get access to your ethereum private key, but it's 100% possible. i think via MEW for example. the way i understand it you have to enter your seed words in MEW to regenerate/replicate your ledger wallet there temporarily and then it'll allow you to export the ethereum private key you need.

...You had an entire year to register. But yes, the EOS erc20 tokens on the ETH blockchain are frozen and have been replaced with EOS on the EOS blockchain. Go to eosauthority.com and put in your public ETH address and see if you can do the fallback method.

Those are the EOS erc20 tokens on the ETH blockchain. They are now forever frozen and useless. They have been replaced with the EOS on the EOS blockchain.

what is in mew is not related to an "eos account". so to clarify you have used this eos account `ge2dkmbrgige` before with your private key, yes? using any wallet like simpleos for example. if yes, then you have confirmed your private key is valid and you have access you can safely send the EOS to `ge2dkmbrgige`

Has the network been really full recently? I had staked 1 eos for cpu and had to increase it to 3 eos stake as my cpu was being fully utilized as I was buying eos wizard. Not that I have been buying loads. Is my observation correct? Or is my general stake of 3cpu very low compared to average?

For starters that is very low in general. Normally you want around 70% of your EOS staked. Wizards uses a lot CPU and bandwidth especially if you have several wizards. It takes 3 days for your CPU to come down again unless you stake more EOS. Unfortunately you need CPU to stake mote tokens. People who don't stake more tokens are going to run into some real problems when EOS starts running Dapps.

You can customize your account to allow only transaction greater than a certain amount to be accepted (i.e. 0.1 EOS). If you dont want to deal with the spam transactions or they become too frequent in the future you can set this up. I havent done it myself yet, but it is possible from what I've been told.

Hey boys, quick question. So i am invested in Lisk big but i would like to swap to EOS. I just have a few concerns.. The problem with Lisk is that the top 101 delegates control everything since they keep forcing big time it feels like a maffia structure to me and it sucks with no dynamic fees. Anyway my concern is that the same can happen to EOS in other words i am concerned that the DPOS can affect EOS the same as it did with Lisk. Before i swap to EOS i would like to know for sure that i will not invest in a project that can be runned like a cartel group in the future.

It all hinges upon the ethereum address which has the eos erc-20 tokens. If it's your address you're fine (so long as it had made an outgoing transaction before the snapshot). If it's an ethetdelta contract address you're not fine. If you could prove ownership there is a chance the eos community will offer a solution in the future (even if it's charity from the block producers).

My understanding of etherdelta is limited, but I think there's no wallet, only smart contracts which can 'hold' tokens for you. You don't control the smart contract addresses, which isn't good if you have left eos erc-20 tokens there.

Indeed, a massive phishing scam. Don't go through the entire KYC process or you'll be taken to a fake MEW website intended to steal your ethereum private key.
