The EOS community has done an amazing job turning the EOSIO software into a working single chain network in a very short amount of time. Block.one is aggressively working on the next stage of the software’s evolution with the premise that token holders + block producers must scale into a highly competitive organisation with economic fundamentals. We’ll publish more information soon.

I think the most important thing we need right now is a way to sort through all of the chaos, and help organize the BP's. Like basic on-chain forums with EOS token weighted voting

I read this and had to copy and paste this. Helps anyone (even myself) relax a little more.... As everyone can hopefully plainly see by now, the groundwork is currently being laid for institutional money to finally enter the crypto market. I’m not talking about big money individuals or private investors or the like; I’m talking about banks, large corporations/companies, and BIG funds (like pension funds and such). You see, BIG money like that didn’t have a legitimate way to enter the market. Sure dark pools and buying OTC was possible, but these ways weren’t established enough for BIG institutional money to jump in yet. Not only that, but BIG money needs to make sure the lifeguards (the SEC and other major govts) are going to let everyone swim and have fun for a bit. And they will, as evidenced by all the big moves that are happening (Gemini’s exchange patent, Coinbase institutional investing, Kraken registering with the SEC, Goldman Sachs entering into crypto, yadda yadda yadda). These things wouldn’t be happening if those players didn’t already know what the lifeguards will say (and have already started hinting at). So here’s what’s going to happen: BIG money is going to get in, the price is going to jump from that. The plebs will then FOMO in/back in causing the price to rise more. Then banks and more big funds are going to start offering the average joe the chance to invest in in crypto through them so they don’t have to use an app or manage any keys or worry about any of that “tech stuff” like storing keys and what not. And that’s going to kick the price up even more. You see gents, $8400 seems like a lot for one bitcoin, but in reality, when you factor in what is going to happen when BIG money pours in and sparks the next Bull Run, $8400 ain’t nothing. Why do you think all these big names keep throwing out ridiculously high predictions for what bitcoin can reach? $50k, $100k, $1mil... It’s not just because they want to create hype. It’s because if you know how to do the math, those numbers are not only completely realistic but likely. Finally, you need to understand this: there won’t be any specific events or news or partnerships that spark the next bull run …The next bull run is going to happen when you least expect it, when everything is quiet, when everyone thinks nothing is going on...THAT is when you’ll see the price start to rise. And you’ll be waiting for it to come down and correct, but it won’t....and before you know it, it’s going to take everyone by storm, the likes of which they would have never imagined. Now the problem with the EOS voting is that it's one vote, 30 votes and a lot of big voters are going to vote for themselves or their Allies but not for their own interests. Shameless people like zb vote for themselves. If you change to vote 1 coin, you must have to choose 30 nodes to vote, then you have to vote for other nodes other than yourself, which is helpful for decentralization

It's still very early. We need a workable constitution (even if it's minimalist). The worker proposal fund need to be implemented with appropriate checks and balances. Bugs need to be fixed. Whales stealing the pot need to be flushed out. BPs need better recovery tools and standbys should really take over if a top 21 is down. User accounts should be cheap. Users need hardware wallets and interfaces that protect their keys. Devs need affordable RAM and CPU staking but there needs to be a way to protect against spam. If this can all be largely resolved within the next few months then eosio chains will start to look very powerful.

Hi there, sorry for the noob question... I got a free account via meet.one app and changed the owner key. I see that the action costed 678 CPU. In my account I see cpu available: 356 So that's a reason I can't perform the same action to change also the active key? Also... to have more cpu I guess I neet to stake more EOS to the cpu... but how does it work, the EOS spent in CPU are gone or will I get them back after 3 days. Or do I need to initiate a refund to get them back? Or as a user I must calculate that the transactions will cost me money? Hi there, question, EOS spent in CPU will be refunded or more I use EOS (e.g. changing owner key/active key) and more it will cost real money to me? Because I see in my case cpu available: 356, so if I want to change key again I need to stake more EOS to cpu, but as soon as I perform the action they will be spent. thats an exchange issue not an EOS issue. Every transfer I have done has been there and confirmed before the exchange knows it.
