Hey Dallas. Thanks for your work. Firstly software needs to be tested with more ram. Secondly, Adding more ram in one lump would most likely encourage more speculation. Only a very small percentage of ram is currently being used by devs. Adding more ram doesn't change this.

I know it's a lot of stuff out there but I think you should really read it, they put a lot of effort into it. It sounds like a decent idea on first sight, but I'm sure there must be some flaws in the idea, someone smart needs to point out where the potential shortcomings are and share that with the community. But it sounds reasonable enough that a lot of people really want to see it at least being discussed.

Greymass has proposed a new system based upon what « typical » computer do. 64 GB of RAM 6 TB of Disk memory. Everyone has a right to PERSISTANT DATA ( Disk ) but Nobody has a garantee to liveliness of data ( RAM )

prob not but i'll try lol. Ram is handled similar to cpu/bandwidth but its like a time quota - so 1000 eos would give you maybe 5 days a week of using the ram (hot data). once you run out of of your quota the data your ram stored is backed up to disk (cold data) and your account is frozen and the ram is freed back. Poor summary but something like that. my problem is stealing the ram people that already bought, but if it was only applied to future ram...

Come on man, you can do better than this. There are other ways besides just "erasing the paper" to make sure rent is paid. Freezing the account, for example. Same thing that happens when account uses too much cpu and net, the ratelimits kick in. But with RAM just waiting won't help, you need to pay the debt before you can use your account again.

I have already read comments on fb groups where people sold their eos and are still receiving airdrops on binance for example. I understand the loyalty and everything else where people took the time and the risk to register before mainnet launch but the real loyal participants in eos are the ones who had and still are holding eos , therefor I believie future airdrops should only go to accounts with recent snapshots that still hold EOS.

Simpleos is a good wallet. Safety implemented by staking coins. The only thing that Im not sure of is if they use recent snapshot or genesis. If only genesis would be very dissapointing and there is no need to get other wallets as you wont receive airdrops

Try zeos.co. That is the website I used to create my EOS account. But, they charge a fee for creating the account for you. Beforehand, you will need to make two EOS addresses for an Owner address and an Active address, respectively. Never send anyone online your private keys. Zeos only asks for public keys to create the account and you can pay in Ethereum or Bitcoin.

There are several options. You choose make an account for a friend..

Account is not free... I paid 20 dollars for mine. I have simpleos for a week or so and havent received any airdrops, turns out its the genesis snapshot that matters so far which is bullshit in my opinion. People who have sold their eos will still receive airdrops....

So if you bought at the start of eos distribution you holded for over 1 year and got rewarded. And there you call a few weeks "holding" not rewarded.

YES ! Im holding EOS for a year, on kraken. I created simpleos wallet because kraken doesnt support airdrops, did not get rewarded anything. Whales and weak hands who sold after genesis snapshots getting all the rewards now

Since people are either selling, accumulating or holding their EOS token on a daily basis. Can someone explain why do projects only use the genesis snapshot. Surely it is easy to get a snap shot of the block chain a day before the airdrops and thus rewarding the true supporters of the community.

I agree and hope so too. Not just for my own benefit but for the project itself. It would be a negative . I held EOS for a year, missed few airdrops fine , but if Ill miss everything and those who sold EOS after mainnet get a free ride... thats just nonsense for me

I was thinking about an app where, by design, it involves users trading the app's tokens, which would mean they'd have to have an EOS account. But the more I read the more the more I'm coming to think this doesn't make sense, as it would be very limitative and be more like a cryptocoin and not a DApp, and the DApp tokens should be seen more as "stock" and not as a point system in a DApp. I'm still not sure about this, do you think this train of thought is correct?

(Please PM if any correction is needed^^) By WuKong ================ Not a lobster Devs talked about eWasm* at the time of research update discussion and shared information about it. *What is eWasm? -According to its roadmap, Ethereum plans to change EVM to eWasm which is based on Web Assembly. It is capable of processing transactions at a very high speed compared to the current EVMs and is a kind of standard so it can be operated on various machines. For reference, Wasm is a very fast virtual machine that works based on a web browser. I didn't know why they talked about the eWasm that was mentioned in the 39th meeting and it turned out that the Robsten thing was connected with the following discussion later. Robsten is one of the testnets of Ethereum mainnet. It is a place to test developments before mainnet as its name (it is like a 'snapshot' of tests one by one quickly). But Vitalik said Robsten which goes with EVM wouldn't be incompatible with eWasm and also mentioned Casper v2 reminding of the beacon chain. Actually, Vitalik is confident in his roadmap (Casper v2). However, some developers like Peter said that it was essential to have a place to test like Robstern. First, devs talked about the EIPs of Constantinople one by one. That's because they can figure out the progress of developments so they can get guess the actual timing of the fork. Proposed constantinople timeline is as follows: -Finalize EIPs that are being implemented: July 13th -Client implementation: July 16th - August 13th -Testing: August 13th - September 10th -Testnet: September 10th - October 1st -Launch: October 8th It is very likely that the fork will be happened within this year and Vitalik himself is very very optimistic about the fork. (So when moon?!) The bottom line is that devs said current deadline of the fork is the Ethereum Devcon 4 (from late October to early November) though this is not yet definitive. • One sentence summary : Fork will be happened this year and the end of October and the beginning of early November are likely!

Eos crew, I haven't done a thing with my registered eos tokens yet, will I miss out on air drops and worst case, my purchased eos tokens worthless if I don't put it in an eos wallet now?

nope, you will still get drops remember everything is on the blockchain not in your wallet. But keeping your EOS staked in a EOS wallet and voting keep the network strong

There's been a 1 year long ico.. During that time of testing and new releases, lots of developers were creating dapps and most of them promised genesis snapshots for distribution. Eventually, new snapshots will be used for new dapps. But 1 year of development went into just getting to the genesis block. Have faith my friends, eos is a foundational coin. Owning a couple hundred of them will be very rewarding in another year.

Have some EOS on HiTBTC but you can not withdraw it for some reason - been trying to do this for weeks.

You need to withdraw to your 12 character human readable account name. If you have registered your tokens an account was created for you and you're ready to go, and if you didn't register, let me know. You can create an account for yourself or buy an existing one from here @eos_name_exchange to pick a cool one or http://eos-account-creator.com to pick your own
