I think the beauty is that decentralisation ultimately will lead to more choice and thus more innovation and I don't think we will just see one solution, probably everything will be bridged and be able to interact with each other. whilst users will get something like dns that made http easier to navigate. :) kinda curious how it all plays out. :)

They can start buying EOS directly from the exchanges after mainnet goes live, including US citizens who were prohibited from participating in the ICO. DAPPs. Most importantly, the ICO money generated is not for building the EOS software, as clearly stated by Block.one. Block.one have all the resources to create the software and has decided to make it open source. Many EOS investors thought their investments goes to building the EOSIO software. The reality is that the money is actually going into something even better - funding DAPPs! With about $1.5 billion and potentially another 1 billion in matching VC funds, hundreds of DAPPS will start to popup on the EOS network after mainnet launch and most of them should be airdropped directly to EOS token holders for free! So EOS token holders can potentially receive free tokens from DAPPs that potentially includes a future decentralized Uber, decentralized Facebook or Airbnb etc.. Freeze starts at 9:59 UTC, im not entirely sure on the duration but I think they will test for 48 hours before main net launch and if any problems the 48 hour period will reset again.

Yes for now. They reopened but then will suspend it again about 2hrs before the freeze. They did that to allow registrations. Due to high gas fees and potential delays, I would highly recommend for those who haven't registered or need to move their tokens to proper off exchanges wallets to do it right away and not wait until the last minute and risk to miss out on snapshot.

Many wallets will come out but unfortunately many scams might as well. As best practices we recommend that everyone relax and don't hastily go to any wallet site until vetted by at least 5 BPs that your trust or from an official announcement that everyone would trust. Better be safe then sorry. There's no need to rush things. Also please!!! Do not enter private Keys anywhere, especially on untrusted sites

I also purchase my ID already cause I believe it's a great concept to potentially be able to pay for things in dapps, sign transactions without having to give any private info you don't want to. We had no idea back then when I started learning C++ that it would stick around and be such an important language for such a long time. When I think about the languages I knew at that time, Fortran, PL/I, can I admit I knew Cobol, I don't use them anymore. Some of the languages that I learned over the last few decades, I learned and stopped using. And I'm sure you can list languages that you learned and then stopped using. But our c++ code lives on.

Airdrops happen on different dates based on their individual snapshot. And yes once your tokens are swapped and you withdraw your coins to an EOS wallet and get your private keys you’ll be able to take advantage of future airdrops.

How should i go one? If i didnt get it to register them through metamask with eosio, dont know why, is there still the opportunity to send them to a registered exodus wallet or to binance. Coins kept on exchanges are only worth around half the value of coins kept in private wallets. So I'd expect price on exchanges dropping massively. Unless you believe privately held Eos are worth like $30 at the moment

Some will, some throughout June. You need to go on Eosdrop.io and see the specifics per airdrops. That being said, only those who control their private keys, meaning registered and control their wallet themselves will be guaranteed to get ALL Airdrops. Those who have tokens on exchanges that supports the launch will only swap for the EOS token and not for airdrops. At least until further announcement are made. That being said, the choice is yours to decide which route you want to proceed with ☺️

You don't have metamask, you have myetherwalle. Instructions are different as you need to generate Eos key pair first for myetherwallet. It's easier with metamask
